Reminder, the change of our Daily Mass times takes effect this week. Starting Monday, 1 June, our Daily Mass times will be as follows:

- Monday through Thursday, Mass at Noon.
- Exposition on Monday at 11:00 a.m., before the Mass (Reconciliation available during Exposition).
- First Saturday Mass at Noon.

Holy Redeemer in North Bend will still have an early morning Mass, Tuesday through Thursday at 9:00 a.m.

Les recordamos que el cambio en los horarios de nuestras Misas diarias entra en vigor esta semana. A partir del lunes 1 de junio, los horarios de nuestras Misas diarias serán los siguientes:

- De lunes a jueves, Misa al mediodía.
- Exposición el lunes a las 11:00 a. m., antes de la Misa (Reconciliación disponible durante la Exposición).
- Misa del primer sábado al mediodía.

Holy Redeemer, en North Bend, seguirá celebrando una Misa matutina de martes a jueves a las 9:00 a. m.

The former rector of my seminary is a Bishop, and now the first of my classmates has been appointed an Auxiliary Bishop. Fr. Boxie was a few years ahead of me, and is a great choice. Solid person, priest, and friend.

Fr Robert Boxie III has been named an Auxiliary Bishop of Washington, marking the first appointment of a new African-American Catholic prelate in nearly a decade.

Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God

Reminder: Thursday, 1 January 2026 is the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God and this is a Holy Day of Obligation (Opportunity). St. Monica will celebrate a Vigil Mass on Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. and a Mass of the Day on Thursday at 10:00 a.m.

Wednesday - Vigil Mass at 6:00 p.m.
Thursday - Mass of the Day at 10:00 a.m.

Note: If you look at the flyer posted on Facebook last week, or at the legal-size paper list of Christmas Masses that was in the church, it incorrectly listed the Thursday Mass as 6:00 p.m. There is no 6pm Mass on Thursday, the Mass is at 10am. Father did a bad editing job of copy/paste without updating the information. A parishioner has already properly chastised him and assigned him 3 Hail Mary's to make up for his poor editing skills. Hopefully this doesn't cause someone to miss the Mass.

Also, the Vigil Mass for the Epiphany - Saturday at 4:30 p.m. will include the blessing of chalk, salt, and water using the old Rite (but in English, not Latin). We will have instructions in both English and Spanish on how to use these items to bless your home.

Healing Mass at Noon on Wednesday the 26th

Thanksgiving Day Mass at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, with blessing of food.

Mass with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
