On New Year's Eve we took a group from to Six Flags! Ben gave the youth a challenge 6 weeks before Thanksgiving. The challenge was to learn 6 verses that have at least 6 words in them (it couldn't be John 11:35😂) in 6 weeks for a 6 Flags season pass! The kids really wanted those passes, so they were learning and reciting verses every Wednesday! Only some of the kids were able to go with us on New Year's Eve, and we had a lot of fun!

Back in November we challenged to raise/donate $70 to buy a dairy goat 🐐 for a family overseas. We will purchase the goat through Samaritan's Purse. The kids were so excited about this challenge and they had all the money plus a little more by our Christmas party on December 18! It is so exciting to see these kids want to make a difference in other people's lives! Next we will buy chickens!! 🐥

This past Friday night we had our last 5th Quarter for this season. Since FB won't let me post videos and pictures at the same time, I will start with pictures. The kids teamed up, chose a table, and then decorated the pumpkin with the Bible character listed on the table. Let me just say that to know these kids is to love them!❤️
Last week Annalisa and I went to a ladies' night event where the speaker quoted some statistics that adults only laugh 4.2 times per day. Well, whoever they were surveying must live in a dreary place with no kids around them, because we laughed (deep belly, p*e your pants kind of laugh) at least 50-75 times just during the pumpkin decorating contest! It was so much fun! After the pumpkins, the kids did a 3 legged race in a hula hoop. Also, hilarious!! Please enjoy!

This Friday we will have our LAST 5th Quarter for this season!! We had so much fun at the last one we had! The kids raced to put puzzles together, made balloon animals, played capture the come, heard a devotion from Ben from Isaiah, and had free time!! We love these kids and love that they would spend a Friday night with us!!

Friday night (9/20/24) was our first 5th Quarter this year,.and we had 21 kids, a devotion, pizza, cookies and brownies (thank you to all the ladies who donated ❤️), games, and lots of fun!! I have to post videos in a separate post, but here are some pictures from the night. Also, special shout out to our biggest 5th Quarter helpers, Jeter and Sheila, who always get the food ready and hang out with us the whole night even helping to clean up!! You two are appreciated!❤️❤️

Today took 18 youth and 3 adults to watch The Forge! It has a great message and the kids loved it! We have been Team Forge for a few years now, and it was perfect that the movie is titled The Forge. If you haven't seen it yet, you need to! Thank you to one of our church members for making it possible for us to enjoy this film and learn from the lesson given.
