LOOK WHAT GOD DID!

We’re starting something new in Kids’ Connection! We want to be intentional about noticing and celebrating the ways we see God working in the lives of our kids, families, and volunteers—big things AND little things.

And we have a pretty great one to start with.

A 10-year-old in Kids’ Connection recently decided they wanted to start reading the Bible on their own and reached out to ask for a Bible reading plan. We LOVE seeing kids take steps to make their faith their own and have a desire to know God through His Word.

That is worth celebrating. Look what God did!

And we know there are more stories like this that we don’t always get to see or hear about.

If you have a “Look What God Did!” sighting, we want to hear it! Maybe a child asked a meaningful question, prayed on their own, showed unexpected kindness, remembered something they learned at church, talked about Jesus with a friend, or took another step in their faith.

Have you ever borrowed something from a friend or family member? Maybe a toy, a book, or even some money? When we borrow something, we must give it back, right? That's what a debt is: something we owe someone else.

But did you know that we all have a debt we can't pay back on our own? It's the debt of sin. Sin is anything we do that goes against what God wants us to do. The Bible says that the wages of sin—what must be paid—is death. That means that because of our sin, we deserve to be separated from God forever. But here's the good news: Jesus paid our debts!

Jesus’ perfect life and sacrifice on the cross has made us right with God. He has paid the debt we owe and given us credit for His righteousness. So, the next time you borrow something or owe someone a debt, remember that Jesus paid our debts too—the biggest debt of all. And because of Him, we can have new life and hope in Him forever.

Jesus can forgive anyone. When we trust in Jesus, God forgives our sin and invites us into His family. He calls us to tell others about Him so they might believe in Jesus and be saved.

Pray: Jesus, we praise You because You paid the debt of our sins and You rose again to provide eternal life for all who believe in You. We know that all hope and joy are found in You! Amen.

Today in Kids' Connection: Jesus Can Forgive Anyone (2 Corinthians 5)

BIBLE STORY SUMMARY:
• Paul sent a letter to remind the church in Corinth that through Jesus, God forgives sin and invites everyone to be a part of His family.
• Paul said that trusting in Jesus changes everything and makes us right with God.
Jesus changes our hearts. We become new creations who want to live for God.
• Paul said that God made Jesus sin so we can be made righteous. God gives believers the mission of bringing others to Him through Christ.

CHRIST CONNECTION:
Jesus can forgive anyone. When we trust in Jesus, God forgives our sin and invites us into His family. He calls us to tell others about Him so they might believe in Jesus and be saved.

BIG PICTURE QUESTION:
Who can be saved? Anyone who trusts in Jesus can be forgiven of their sins and be
right with God.

Fall is coming to Kids’ Connection!

We have so much to look forward to over the next few months — special Sundays, opportunities to connect, Friendsgiving, Christmas fun, and lots of moments in between!

🎒✏️ Students, Families & Educators — We’d love to pray for you! 🙏

A new school year is beginning, and before everyone gets swept up in schedules, homework, activities, and all that comes with it, we want to take some time to simply pray over our community.

This Sunday, Connections Church is having a special Back to School Blessing, and our community is invited!

We’ll be praying for:
🍎 Students of all ages
💛 Parents & families
✏️ Teachers, paras & school staff
🏫 Our local schools & classrooms
📚 Homeschool families & educators

Whether you attend Connections, another church, or don’t attend church at all, you are welcome. There’s nothing you need to sign up for or prepare—just come!

If you're an educator or school staff member, we would especially love the opportunity to recognize you, encourage you, and pray over the work you’re stepping into this year.

We’re wrapping up our summer of Marvelous Mondays with our messiest day yet!

Join us for THE MARVELOUS MESS—an end-of-summer bash filled with colorful, squishy, splatty, silly fun! We’ve got plenty of surprises planned, including a special visit from Pastor Ray and his Sledge-O-Matic! 🍉🔨😳

And because it’s our LAST Marvelous Monday of the summer... we’re going out with a GIANT MARVELOUS MESS finale!

As we look back on an incredible week at Rainforest Falls VBS one thing is abundantly clear…

This didn’t happen because of one person. It happened because of a church full of people who said ,”I’ll help!”

To the crew leaders who learned 44 kids’ names…

To the station leaders who taught God’s word, led games, and inspired creativity…

To the check- in team who welcomed every family with a smile…

To those who decorated hallways, hung vines, moved furniture, cut out animals, and transformed our building into a Rainforest…

To the people who cooked and donated meals so our volunteers didn’t have to worry about dinner…

To those who swept floors, emptied trash, put supplies away, and stayed after everyone had gone home…

To those who prayed for our kids, donated supplies, invited friends, and quietly filled whatever need came up…

Thank you!

Because of your willingness to serve…
- over 44 kids heard about Jesus
- New friendships were formed.
- Families were welcomed
- Kids experienced the love of God

You may never fully know the impact your kindness,patience, encouragement, and faithfulness had on a child this week. But God does.

Thank you for giving your time, your talents, and your hearts to point the next generation to Jesus.

We couldn’t have done it without you, and we’re so grateful you are part of the Kids’ Connection family!

🌴 The adventure isn't over! 🌴

Whether your child joined us for Rainforest Falls VBS or not, we'd love to invite your family to our Come Back Sunday Celebration!

Join us this Sunday at 10:30 AM at Connections Church- C**n Rapids Campus as we wrap up our rainforest adventure and hear one final lesson about the amazing God who created us and loves us.

🐍 Plus... you'll get to meet LIVE ANIMALS! 🦜🐢

Everyone is welcome—even if you didn't attend VBS! Invite your friends, neighbors, and cousins, to join in the fun. We'd love to see some new faces too!
