This past Sunday, we celebrated an amazing group of 5th graders as they officially "leveled up" from Kids' Connection and prepare to begin their next adventure in Youth Ministry!

We are so proud of these students and the growth we've seen in them over the years. They've learned about God's love, built friendships, asked great questions, and taken important steps in their faith journey.

As they move into this exciting new chapter, we pray they continue to grow in their relationship with Jesus, build strong connections with other believers, and boldly live out their faith.

Join us in congratulating our newest youth group students! We can't wait to see what God has in store for each of them.

Today in Kids' Connection: Fruit of the Spirit: Self- Control
BOTTOM LINE:
Self-control is the ability to tell ourselves “No” when we are tempted.

OBJECTIVE:
Kids will ask God for self-control in one area of their life.

KEY PASSAGE:
Daniel 1:1-17, Daniel’s Training

MEMORY VERSE:
“But the fruit the Holy Spirit produces is love, joy and peace. It is being patient, kind and good. It is being faithful and gentle and having control of oneself. There is no law against things of that kind.” Galatians 5:22-23Elementary: Children who memorize the memory verse get to put a fruit sticker on the tree and pick a prize out of the Fruit of the Spirit prize bucket.

Today in Kids' Connection: Paul Became a Missionary (Acts 13-14)

BIBLE STORY SUMMARY:
• The Holy Spirit chose Paul and another believer, Barnabas, to share the good news about Jesus to Jews and Gentiles.
• They traveled to Lystra and preached the gospel. In Lystra, they faced trouble from Jews who came from Antioch and Iconium. They turned the people in Lystra against Paul.
• Then Paul and Barnabas went to Derbe and shared the gospel. Many people believed, and churches were started.

CHRIST CONNECTION:
God had a plan for Paul to share the gospel with Gentiles, no matter what troubles he faced. Many believed in Jesus. The church grew and the gospel spread so that people all over the world could be saved from their sins by trusting in Jesus.

BIG PICTURE QUESTION:
Who can be saved? Anyone who trusts in Jesus can be forgiven of their sins and be right with God.

Today in Kids' Connection: Paul Became a Christian (Acts 9)

BIBLE STORY SUMMARY:
• On the way to Damascus to arrest Christians, a bright light flashed around Saul. Then Jesus asked Saul why he was persecuting Jesus.
• Saul couldn’t see and needed help getting to Damascus. In Damascus, a believer named Ananias restored Paul’s sight.
• Saul was baptized and began to preach that Jesus is the Son of God. Saul was a Christian.

CHRIST CONNECTION:
Jesus appeared to Saul and changed him inside and out. Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners.
(1 Timothy 1:15) Jesus called Saul, who was once an enemy to Christians, to spend the rest of his life telling people the gospel and leading them to trust in Jesus.

BIG PICTURE QUESTION:
Who can be saved? Anyone who trusts in Jesus can be forgiven of their sins and be right with God.

Today in Kids' Connection: We Are Part of One Church (1 Corinthians 12)

BIBLE STORY SUMMARY:
• Paul wrote a letter to the church in Corinth to remind them not to be divided. He said Jesus came to bring people together as one body.
• Paul said the body is made of many parts that are unified.
• Paul wrote that every part of the body is important.

CHRIST CONNECTION:
Paul told the believers in the Corinthian church to come together because of the gospel.
He reminded them that Jesus saves sinners. Because of Jesus and what He has done,
believers from every nation, tribe, people, and language can humbly come together as one body—the church.

BIG PICTURE QUESTION:
What is the church? The church is all Christians everywhere, who gather together in their communities to worship and serve God.
