🔥 WHEN LIFE FEELS LIKE IT’S SHAKING… WHERE IS GOD IN THE MIDDLE OF IT?

Maybe what feels like destruction is actually becoming the place where God is building strength, truth, and peace within you.

You’re invited to join us TOMORROW NIGHT for our September Cookeville Aglow Gathering!

Denise Mistich will share Part 2 of “Journey to Truth” as we look at what happens when the voice of God confronts what we’ve always believed—and teaches us what it means to truly STAND.

Have you ever been in a season that felt more like destruction than transformation?

When everything around you seemed to be shaking, falling, or changing, did you wonder where God was in the middle of it?

Join us as we discover how that very shaking may well be the path to inner strength and peace.

Last month, we followed a tiny droplet on a journey as wild as any drop of water making its way to the Sea could expect. We discovered that true worship and total surrender transform us from feeling like grasshoppers to living like giants.

But transformation requires more than surrender. It requires revelation, the kind of truth that can only come through relationship with God.🔥

In September, we'll look even deeper at the transformation the Church so desperately needs as we compare a God-given dream with Psalm 29 and discover what happens when the voice of God confronts what we've always believed and forces us to choose what we will stand on.

Last month, we learned to surrender.
This month, we learn to stand.

“The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace.” Psalm 29:11

We can’t wait to worship, learn, pray, and grow together!

There is something about today’s devotion that feels like the perfect ending to our first week of REFLECT.

We’ve spent seven days learning to turn our eyes toward Jesus—to look again, linger, behold, and stay.

And today we see why it matters.

Moses didn’t come down the mountain trying to shine. He had simply been with God. His face carried the evidence of where he had been.

Friend, what if we stopped checking ourselves to see if we’re changing and simply kept looking at Jesus?

We don’t have to manufacture the reflection.
We just keep facing the Source.

Today’s devotion is Day 7 — His Face Changes Mine. I would love for you to sit with Jesus in this one.

And when you finish, I’d love for you to share in the comments:
What part of Jesus’ heart do you want to become more visible in your life?

Maybe it’s His patience. His gentleness. His courage. His mercy. His peace.

Name it—and then don’t strive to produce it.

Behold Him there. Stay near Him there. Trust the Holy Spirit to do the transforming.

Tomorrow we begin our next movement: BECOME. ❤️

Behold Him. Become like Him. Reflect Him.

There are things about Jesus we may never discover if we are always rushing away.

Today’s devotion is a gentle invitation to slow down—not out of obligation, but because He is worth knowing. Sometimes we have read the passage before, but when we linger, the Holy Spirit lets us see His heart in a way we’ve never seen before.

🤍 REFLECT • Day 6 — Stay Long Enough to See Him

Today, find one passage about Jesus and stay there a little longer. Read it slowly. Look for His heart before looking for your answer.

Then come back and share in the comments: What did you see in Jesus today?

What do you see when you see Jesus?

Sometimes we are so focused on becoming more like Him that we forget the beautiful first step: simply beholding Him.

His compassion. His courage. His holiness. His tenderness. His truth. His mercy.

Today in REFLECT — Day 5, I'm slowing down and asking, “Jesus, show me Yourself.” Because the more clearly we see Him, the more His life begins to shape what we reflect. 🤍

Come sit with me today. Open one story from the Gospels and, before asking what you should do, ask:

“Jesus, what do You want me to see about You?”

Then come back and share one word in the comments describing what you see in Him today.

Behold Him. Become like Him. Reflect Him.

This morning, I keep thinking about how easy it is to open the Word and immediately notice what needs to change in us.

But what if we looked a little longer?

What if, instead of stopping at what God reveals about us, we kept looking until we saw Jesus?

Today's REFLECT devotion reminded me that His Word isn't a mirror meant to shame us. It is an invitation to behold Him—and allow the Holy Spirit to form His likeness in us. ❤️

There are moments when I have to remind myself that what I’ve walked through may have changed the way I’m seeing—but it has never changed who Jesus is.

That is the heart of today’s REFLECT — Day 3: Look Again.

Mary stood so close to Jesus and still didn’t recognize Him. Grief had shaped what she expected to see. And yet Jesus didn’t correct her harshly. He simply called her name.

I wonder if some of us need that same invitation today.

Not to deny the disappointment.
Not to pretend the questions don’t exist.
But to lift our eyes from what happened and look again at who He is.

Take a few quiet minutes with me today. Read the devotion, and then ask Jesus one simple question:

“Jesus, is there anything I’ve walked through that has changed the way I see You?”

And if this speaks to you, leave “LOOK AGAIN” in the comments. I would love to know who is walking through REFLECT with me this September.

Behold Him. Become like Him. Reflect Him.

What does Aglow mean to you? ❤️

Aglow has changed my life—forever.

I found my circle. I learned to listen, to grow, and to call others to that same high place in Jesus.

Aglow is more than something I joined—it is a fire I caught. The Spirit of Aglow carries a fire that now burns inside of me.

I caught it… and I have never been the same. 🔥

“Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord.” Romans 12:11 AMPC

This morning, I keep coming back to one simple question:

What has my eyes?

There are so many things competing for our attention—and I am realizing that what I continually look toward eventually begins shaping what is happening within me.

August taught me to abide—to stay, remain, and return to Jesus.

Now, as we step into September, I believe He is inviting us deeper: Abide long enough to behold Him. Behold Him long enough to reflect Him.

Today's devotion is Day 2 — Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus.

đź”— Read today's devotion here:

Will you join me today?

Before you give the world your attention, give Jesus your gaze. Sit with Him. Look toward Him. And when your eyes wander—as ours all do—simply return.

Abide with Him.
Behold Him.
And let His life be reflected through yours.

If you're joining me for REFLECT this September, leave a ❤️ or simply comment “I'm looking to Jesus.”

Behold Him. Become like Him. Reflect Him.
