One of the reasons there is so much confusion about the Bible is that we have learned to read **verses instead of Scripture.**

We quote a verse. Build a doctrine around it. Repeat what we have heard someone else say about it. And sometimes we never stop long enough to ask:

**What came before this? What comes after it? Who was speaking? Who were they speaking to? And how does this fit into the larger revelation of Scripture?**

The Bible was not written as a collection of inspirational one-liners.

It tells a story.

What begins in Genesis develops through the Law, the Prophets and the writings, is revealed in Christ, and continues into the life and responsibility of His people. When we ignore part of that story, we can easily misunderstand the part we are reading.

Paul reminded us that **“whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning”** (Romans 15:4).

That means we don't throw away the first part of the Book because we are under grace. We learn from it. We see God's patterns, His purposes, His methodology, and ultimately how everything points us toward Christ and helps us understand how we are to live now.

At **The Logos Fellowship**, we don't just want you to know what a verse says.

**We want you to understand why it says it, where it fits, and what it means for the way you live.**

Hebrews 8–10 reveals why the old system of repeated sacrifices could never bring lasting completion and why Jesus, as our High Priest, established something far greater. We examine the new covenant, the true sanctuary, the power of Christ’s once-for-all sacrifice, the significance of the veil, and the believer’s bold access to God.

This section helps us understand that Christ did not leave redemption unfinished. He accomplished what the former system could only point toward, and because of that finished work, we are invited to draw near with confidence.

In Session 2, we move deeper into the revelation of Jesus Christ as our eternal High Priest and the significance of the Melchizedek order.

Hebrews 5–7 shows us that a change in priesthood was necessary and that Christ did not simply continue the old order. He fulfilled it and established something greater. In this session, we examine spiritual maturity, the priesthood of Melchizedek, Abraham’s encounter with him, the meaning of the tenth, and the difference between a temporary priesthood and the eternal priesthood of Christ.

This study helps us understand that the finished work of Christ is not only about forgiveness. It also changes our access, our identity, and our responsibility as believers.

What changes when we stop approaching God as though His purpose is still being decided?

In this first Immersion Study session, we walk through Hebrews 1–4 and examine the supremacy of Christ, the certainty of God’s Word, the danger of unbelief, and the invitation to enter into God’s rest.

Hebrews shows us that Christ did not come to begin an unfinished work. He came according to a purpose already established, completed His assignment, and opened the way for us to live from what God has already settled.

This study is designed to help us slow down, examine the text in context, take notes, ask questions, and understand what we are reading before we try to apply it.

What if understanding God’s purpose requires us to stop looking only at what is happening now? Scripture shows us that God declares the end from the beginning. His purpose is not something He makes up as events unfold. He already knows the outcome. That means sometimes we need to "reverse engineer the purpose" start with what God has already said, then look back and see how His plan has been unfolding all along.

This training session establishes a foundational truth: God’s Word is already established in heaven. Through Hebrews 1–4, we examine who Christ is, what He completed, and why believers are called to live from the finished work rather than continually trying to obtain what has already been accomplished. Our role is not to finish what Christ started, but to understand, believe, and operate from what He already completed.
