All Christian schools in Jerusalem announced Monday evening that they will suspend classes starting Tuesday after Israel failed to renew entry permits for more than 70 teachers and staff, preventing them from reaching their schools.

The new academic year in Israel and Jerusalem is scheduled to begin Tuesday.

In a statement, the Christian schools in Jerusalem said that as they prepared to open for the 2026-2027 academic year, they were surprised by the “failure to renew entry permits for more than 70 teachers and employees from our educational, administrative and support staff, suddenly and without prior warning.”

•Great is Your mercy. We need it. We ask that You forgive us for the times we have not been loving, just, righteous and kind. Thank you.

•We welcome Your wisdom.

•Be in us. Be in our homes. Be in our families. We need an outpour of Your Spirit. We will carry Your love, grace and power wherever we go.

•Let Your Kingdom (heavenly things, Your thinking, Your love) come. Let Your Kingdom come in us.

•We delight in You.

•Our souls magnify You, Lord. When we magnify You, Your love and Your plans, our worries become smaller and smaller, until they are no longer worries.

•We have GREAT faith in You and Your promises, God.

•Welcome, Holy Spirit.
