A man got saved at Waffle House!
After service today myself and Bishop Robert Humphries walked to the Waffle House in the church Shopping Plaza for breakfast.
After we had eaten and paid we stepped outside on the sidewalk.
The morning was nice, the rain had stopped and the sun was shining. It was a beautiful day.
I don't really know why we stopped and chatted for so long.
We talked about the service and Word I had preached. But God was holding us there for a reason.
Someone was about to be Born Again at Waffle House.
Ten minutes had passed. Then a gentleman who identified himself as Frank Jr., came out of the restaurant to smoke a cigarette.
He heard us glorifying God and he softly began singing a gospel hymn almost as if he wanted to join our after breakfast conversation.
He walked a bit further beyond us about 20 feet still singing. He lit a cigarette.
He said, "I need to stop smoking but it's hard because ci******es have been a habit on mine since I was 16."
I looked at him and boldly asked if he was saved!
He said yes.
A minute or so later I asked him again, "have you publicly given your life to Jesus. Have you ever truly confessed Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior?"
Because if you haven't this man next to me is going to witness you getting saved today!
He started speaking about his church experiences and the church he sung in during his youth.
I could feel he was running from the invitation to receive Jesus. But I was focused on Frank Jr.'s salvation.
He asked me was I a Pastor? Yes, I replied.
How long? Eleven (11) years. Where is your church, he said? I pointed to it just at the other end of the Shopping Plaza.
He looked at me and stomped the fire out of his cigarette, walked over to me and Bishop with his hands opened and said "let's do this!"
He wanted to be saved today. So, I grabbed his hands together with Bishop.
Repeat after me Frank Jr.: "Dear God, I know I am a sinner, and I repent and ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is you Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that You raised Him to life. I trust Him as my Savior and I will follow Him as my Lord from this day forward. Guide me and help me to do your will so I can live out Your plan for my life. Thank you for Your love. I pray this in the name of Jesus."
So, today at 12 noon, Frank Jr. got SAVED right outside the Waffle House in Conyers Georgia.
