The Lamp has come to shine light into this dark world. But do you have eyes to see? His gospel is being preached. But do you have ears to hear it? Jesus warns that we must be very careful how we hear his word and respond to it. May the Lord open our eyes and ears, and make us hungry for Christ and his word!

Church in the Morning!
Read Mark 4:21-25.
Christ came into the world shining light and speaking God’s word. Many are blind and deaf spiritually. Oh, how we need God-opened eyes and ears and hearts! How crucial it is how we hear and respond to the preaching of God’s word!
Pray for the Holy Spirit to move on his gathered people. See you there!

Read Mark 4:13-20.
What is the big, overall point of the parable of the sower?
According to the parable, what different kinds of rejection and resistance does the preaching of the gospel meet in people who hear?
Do any of these describe you?
Are you continuing in the word of God you are hearing, through the hurts and offenses, the testing and temptations?
May the Lord help us bear fruit as we continue in his word!

It's happening This Sunday at Meadowlake! We are gathering to worship the Lord and hear his powerful word, cuz that's what we do! And then, right after worship, we will eat a potluck lunch together, celebrating 12 years of the Lord's grace and faithfulness on our little church family! Join us!
