The Soul Food Cafe Mission began in 2001 when Rick and Traci Harvey led the members of Christ Church to begin a ministry to feed people; a passion that had long existed within Traci. Now that vision has grown to an operation on Tuesdays at our own location at 1717 S. A steady corps of volunteers ensures that guests receive a continental breakfast, necessary health and beauty items, a plentiful hot
lunch, clothing, household items, appliances, furniture, haircuts and a food box. Rick ensures that guests get to hear the gospel every week, & gives each person the opportunity to give their heart to Jesus Christ & to be baptized if he/she desires. God is definitely at work meeting the physical and spiritual needs of people every week at the mission.
