Evangelical / modern “Christianity” has proven to be a destructive force as it has joined with Trumpism and white nationalism. The teachings of Christ have been left behind, and instead, the teachings of Trump have been valued more. The church is turning people away, othering people, and losing people in record numbers because it has come to be associated as a vehicle for hatred, thanks to the right-wing and those who associate with Trumpism. It is no surprise that so few identify with Christianity now. There truly needs to be a revival within the church, and within “Christians”.

It is not un-Christian to support those who are pro-choice. You can be personally pro-life without trying to force your views on others. It is not a violation of our faith. It is simply a recognition of individual beliefs being just that - of the individual. Remember, the Christian faith is not a tool to be weaponized and used against others.

Since Arkansas has enacted religious legislation to ban women from having abortions because they consider themselves “pro-life”, we are calling on the elected officials in Arkansas to enact and embrace real, actual pro-life policies:

- Require the men to fully help and support the women during the 9 month gestation period and until the child reaches the age of 18
- Allow women to claim the fetus as a dependent on their taxes as soon as they conceive
- Allow women be able to get life / death insurance benefits on the zygote/fetus in the event of a miscarriage
- Require all men to pay child support after impregnating a woman, effective immediately after conception, if they choose to impregnate and dash
- Fixing the adoption system in Arkansas, currently overwhelmed at 4,564 children in foster care and only 1,709 foster homes, and about to be even more overwhelmed
- Immediately solving the formula shortage
- Providing financial aid to women in Arkansas who are being forced to have children, when almost 20% of women in Arkansas are under the poverty line
- Enacting paid maternity leave to help these women who are being forced to give birth to children and providing them benefits like income and rent assistance
- A strict enforcement of child support requirements and strict fines and prison sentences for men who don’t help support the newborn
- A program to pay 100% of childcare costs for women who are forced to give birth against their will

So, “pro-life” Republicans, when will all this go into effect?

Regarding today’s Roe v Wade repeal, our statement is as follows.

While there are different interpretations that can be taken from the Bible about abortion, our stance is this: an individual’s choices are between them and their Creator. It is not anyone’s right - an individual or government - to tell anyone what they can, or cannot, do with their own body.

We will continue to pray for women who are now in difficult situations, and those who will face them in the future, thanks to their individual rights being stripped from them by a Supreme Court that is out of touch with a majority of American citizens.

Today was a dark day for America, and for women across the US.

When I read the headline I didn’t expect this to be a positive article. Using “q***r” is kind of strange. Reclaimed or not, it might rub some the wrong way. But kudos to them for doing something!

“If there are any families out there who are watching this and they are themselves discerning issues around being gender-fluid or around their s*xual orientation, just to know there are really communities out there that are supportive of them and love them and we want to be here for you”.
