Highlights From Sermon Titled: Watch What God Can Do

Watch what God can do as you observe how God is working in your life. Keep your faith strong in 2025 and expect to see God’s power at work.

When you believe that God is in control and can do everything but fail you can let go of worries and replace it with confidence in God

No doubt that some of the things that you faced in 2024 will follow you into 2025.

Trials and tribulations don't stop just because we start a New Year but they do follow us. It’s part of living in this world.

No worries because God will be with us as we take this journey into the unknown of 2025. Be glad to know that whatever comes your way in 2025, God is able to help you stand in victory. Watch what God can do.

God said in the first portion of Isaiah 43:19 “ Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth;”

2024 is the old. God is saying I am about to do a new thing. Watch what God can do in 2025 and trust in God's faithfulness.

This is a reminder that God's promises will be fulfilled, and that God is able to create new things for His people.

Only God has the power to carry us right into 2025 with no worries looking forward to what God can do.

In the midst of bad circumstances, difficulties and big challenges in 2025, we are to keep our attention upon God and watch what God can do.

There is no way to lose, when our focus is on God. There is no way to win, when our focus is on our circumstance.

“My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven” and earth.” Psalms 121:2 (KJV)

Whatever it is that may happen in 2025 none of it is outside of God’s control or God’s knowledge. We have to make it personal and say my help cometh from the LORD.

If we want to have a happy year, let us grow closer to the Lord every day, and with the help of the Lord we can, pursue righteousness, a godly lifestyle along with faith, love, endurance and a forgiving spirit.
And let us not forget that there is nothing but the Word of God that will help us to become the person that God wants us to be.

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalms 119:105 (KJV)

God’s Word is a lamp that provides guidance and direction in our everyday life.

A good question we can ask ourselves is: What ungodly thing needs to be subtracted from my life or what godly thing needs to be added in my life?

The reason some people may not be happy in 2025 is because they need to subtract some ungodly things from their life or maybe they need to add some godly things in their life.

As we focus in on 2025 let us not focus on self-centered goals. Let’s focus on what God want us to do so that we can have a happy year.

Someone might say to us, or we might say: I don’t know what God want me to do in 2025.

There is a list of some things in the Bible that God wants all of us to do.

“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;” Matthew 5:44

“Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: Malice is all types of evil behavior.” Ephesians 4:31

These scriptures are some things God want us to do in 2025 and for the rest of our life if we say we are His child.

If we don’t do these things that God requires us to do, we will not be effective in any of our assignments that God gives us. Neither will we be effective in our walk with Him.

We will be looked upon as a Weak Christian with poor performance for the Kingdom of God.

If we do those the things that are listed in God’s Word, they will help us to keep ourselves anchored in obedience to God’s Word and allow the light of God’s Word to direct our path.

In that way, it doesn’t matter what come our way in 2025, we will be able to face this year with a peace of mind.

Let’s pray for God's help and may 2025 be a blessed year for all of us as we build our life on the foundation of Jesus Christ and His Holy Word.

If you believe you have heard from God, and yet you continue to experience a feeling of uneasiness and questioning, it is very important that you stop and take note because you have not heard from God.

I say that because God’s voice brings about a deep calmness in your spirit.

The voice of God will not give you a sense of inner conflict, worry, or a troubled heart because God gives you peace.

The peace that God gives you is what the apostle Paul described as peace which passes all understanding.
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7 (KJV)

God's peace is supernatural therefore no human can explain it.

That is why the Scripture says “which passeth all understanding”.

It is truly amazing how God can and God will respond during times of difficulty and God give you this supernatural, powerful unexplainable peace.

You feel it but you cannot explain it. God’s peace "will guard your hearts."
That is what “shall keep your hearts” in this Scripture means. The heart is something to protect in every situation.

Keeping a good heart is very important for living a godly life.

That is why it is important that you "Guard your heart"

You do this to protect your heart from negative influences, negative thoughts, and negative desires that could corrupt your character.

It is very important to remember that everything you do flows from your heart, the good and the bad.

God's peace will guard "your minds through Christ Jesus."

This concept is connected with love for God and love for others as well as unity in our families, our churches and our communities.

In the midst of disagreements, it requires a mind controlled by God's peace.

What do you do when you are under pressure? What do you do when you think God is moving too slow?

Do you go ahead and take matters in your own weak hands that lead to disobeying God?

Getting ahead of God is never good because the consequences are always painful. Some Christians become very impatient when they think time is running out. Apparently, they are not sincerely listening when they hear the words “God is an on time God.”

God knows exactly what He is doing, and God knows exactly why He allows things to happen the way they happen.

Whatever method God use in your situation, listen to His voice, follow His guidance and always remember that you are not on your timetable you are on His timetable.

On last Sunday I started a teaching series titled Listen to the Voice of God. This is an area where many Christians are struggling.

There are two voices that speak to us. One is God and the other one is Satan. Both voices have consistent traits. For example God voice is peace and unity. Satan voice is chaos and disunity.

When we are trying to listen to God after we have prayed about a situation, Satan will try to slitter his voice in and he will try to use our fleshly feelings. But God’s voice will never lead us to do what we want to do just because we are not satisfied with what He is doing in our life.

God works for our good not our pleasure. Satan voice tells us what we want to hear and it will work against us. Some Christians will claim to have heard God’s voice saying “God led me to do this,” when in fact it was their own thoughts and desire that led them.

When we want to hear God’s voice the Bible is where we should go as we pray. Once God show us with no confusion, rather we like His answer or not we should be excited to please Him.

When we refuse to be excited to please God it will cause much confusion and disagreements among Christians, family and friends relationships that can cause arguments and that is exactly what Satan wants because we are living in the last days.

“Hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds;” Hebrews 1:2 (KJV)

The “last days” are the times we are living now. Jesus Christ words in the Bible are the Final Word to us.

Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, men were authorized by God to speak and record His words in the Bible to His church so that all of the church can truly hear from God.

Reading the Bible is not very satisfying to some people. Reading the Bible is boring to them. Therefore they desire a more “direct” and “personal” communication from a man.

There is a problem with that kind of desire starting with the fact that neglecting or rejecting the Bible is spiritually dangerous.

It is spiritually dangerous especially when God said that He has spoken through His Son, who is “appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the worlds (the universe).

I know that God speaks in a number of ways but His foundational way of speaking to us is His written Word. If you are in need of wisdom, ask God for wisdom (James1:5)

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Proverbs 1:7 (KJV)
According to the Bible we can see why some people act foolish like they do.
The Bible says: “fools despise wisdom and instruction….”
In other words, the "fool" is the person who listens to himself or herself instead of listening to God.

A person who is rejecting God and His Word will find excuses to do so.

The person relies on his or her corrupt knowledge to live their way of life. It may appear to be harmless to the person. Nevertheless it leads straight to the Lake of Fire.

God speaks to us to show us what He requires of us and what we may expect from Him. It is a token of God’s grace.

Let’s face it. Many people do not want to hear the truth.

The truth is the voice of God. The voice of God is the Bible which is the living Word of God.

Food For Thought As You Start A New Week

God want us to prove that we have accepted His Son Jesus Christ by living for Him.

Too many people who say they are a Christian want God to bless them financially or materially not taking into consideration that God is more interested in their soul being save.

God want a sincere relationship with us through His Son Jesus Christ and not just what we can get from Him or what He can do for us.

God want us to communicate to Him in prayer.
God want us to please Him and not people. God want us to honor Him, exalt Him, and submit to Him, then He knows we were sincere when we accepted His Son Jesus Christ.

In simple term, I believe God is saying Get Real People because My Son is Returning Soon!

PRAISE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!!!

These are dark days that we are living in. There are bad circumstances, a world of tension and frustration, unexpected situations, violence, hatred and sickness.

Sometimes we don’t know hardly which way to turn. But we got to have a determination that says I am pressing on toward my heavenly prize Anyhow because I want to be with Jesus Christ in eternity.

Everyone who have a lifestyle of praying to our Father in heaven, we can expect an answer from Him.

While we are expecting an answer from our Father, we must clearly understand that there will be times when He will help us to understand that what we are asking for do not fit His plan for us in that situation and that He always knows what is best.

Our heavenly Father does not always answer us in the way that we think He will, or we think He should, but the most important thing is for us to know that He hears the prayers of the righteous and He will answer, no matter what His answer may be.

It's all good because our heavenly Father is good.

You may find that you have prayed and are on the edge waiting for God’s response, but then you feel like you hear nothing and when you do hear something, it isn't exactly what you were expecting to hear, therefore you may allow yourself to fall in an unhappy mode.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD.” Isaiah 55:8

Isaiah is reminding us to put our complete trust in the Lord because His ways and His plans are always far better than what ours will ever be.

Therefore we should trust that everything included in the Lord’s plan is for our greater good.

The Word of God is in Authority at Bible Faith and Fellowship Church.

A person losing his or her physical life is bad enough but losing his or her eternal life with Jesus Christ is worst.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16 KJV)

God loves you. His Son Jesus died for you. If you believe in Him, you must live for Him so that you will not perish meaning you will not be destroyed in the Lake of Fire but have everlasting life with Jesus Christ.
