On Sunday, May 24th, First UMC celebrated Confirmation Sunday as we welcomed 7 new members into full membership. These young persons have completed a year of study and preparation to become full members of The United Methodist Church. As they took their vows of membership and professed their faith, we recalled the gift of love God has given us in Jesus Christ. The journey of Confirmation has led them to “make firm” the faith that has been nurtured in them through their baptism by parents, grandparents, and the church. We celebrate the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives as they continue their journey of faith. We are blessed with these youth, their parents and mentors who shape, fill, lead, and nourish one another in our youth ministries at First UMC. Remember your baptism and be thankful.
