We see over and over again that a desire for vengence does nothing but disturb the peace that a person can have. Whatever the wrongdoing was that you seek to avenge, you will never punish the person responsible the way that God will and can. Vengence doesn't belong to you. Give your grief to God and be made whole

There's an old hymn that I think about a lot called "Faith is the Victory." The last part of the last verse of that song goes like this: "We'll vanquish all the hosts of night, in Jesus' conqu'ring name. Faith is the victory that overcomes the world!" Through Christ we have been made "more than conquerers," Paul says. With the Master and Creator of the Universe at our head, we can win any battle that we come across!
