Northeast Church of Christ, San Antonio, Texas ELDERS: Darrell Davis and Joe Wiggins
MINISTER: Joe N. Wiggins

We only use the Word of God, with no man-made doctrines. Everyone welcome! Moving to San Antonio?

We are a non-instrumental music congregation, following Eph. 5:19 Col. 3:16 as our pattern. New people are always welcome! SERVICES AND EVENTS:
Sunday 9:30 a.m. Bible Study, 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Worship
--Wednesday 7:15 p.m. Bible Study

Everyone, including all ages, races and faiths are welcome to come study and learn about God's word with us.

* Attire: We want everyone to feel welcome and encouraged to attend Bible classes and worship services. While there is no requirement to wear any particular type or style of clothing, we ask people of all ages to wear modest clothing without any offensive markings, symbols, photos or other items that might distract others during class or worship. Out of respect for the human body, we only ask men and women to not wear clothing that would appear to be physically revealing.

* Financial Support: You will never be asked or required to pay anything during any activity at the Northeast Church of Christ. Members offer a free-will gift as their personal and private contribution during the worship service, but visitors are not required or under any obligation to contribute. HISTORY

Due to the growth in the area and the multitude of subdivisions surrounding Ventura, members voted in December 2008 to rename the congregation the Northeast Church of Christ.

We have been studying 2 Samuel chapters 1-5. We have been talking about David's journey to becoming king and some of the obstacles that he faced. Here are some pics of our field games related to our lessons. .. 1. Don't drop the ball- learning to be patient, resilent, and trust in God. David waited for God to avenge him, he relied on God's timing, and waited for God's signal in battle (2 Samuel 4:9-12, 5:1-5,5:17-25). 2. Obstacle Course- learning to seek God's guidance and follow His game plan. David asked God before he went against the Philistines and asked again how to proceed when they returned for a 2nd attack (2 Samuel 5:19, 5:23-24). 3. Follow the leader- learning how to rely on a leader who follows God. David proved that his reign would be built on righteousness, the people trusted him based on past success, he built a covenant with the elders and his followers, and he sought divine direction (2 Samuel 4:9-12, 5:2-3, 5:19;23). 4. Build a capital- learning to work together and building our lives on the strong foundation of God. David captured Jerusalem and called it "the city of David", and he recognized God's exaltation by basing his success on God's purpose (2 Samuel 5:6-9, 12).
