The Church:
In 1891, our great church was organized and established as Union Center African Methodist Church. Under the leadership of Presiding Bishop, The Right Reverend Grant, Presiding Elder, Rev L.B. Hamilton along with the faithful and loyal officers and members, the edifice was erected. Hercules Miles, we were able to move into a new building in 1963. Unfortunately, in the fall of that year,

the church was lost in a fire. On February 21, 1965 the building, in which we now worship, was opened. Ricky Warren, UCAME experienced a phenomenal spiritual growth. We give thanks to God as we are standing together, praying together, praising together and moving towards our Victory in Christ! We are very pleased to “Welcome Home” one of our very own Rev. Brooks. Under her leadership UCAME will continue to be a beacon light in the community and beyond.
