🌿 Who is St. Matthew?
St. Matthew, also known as Levi, was a tax collector when Jesus called him to “Follow me.” He left everything behind to become one of the twelve apostles. Later, he is credited with writing the Gospel of Matthew, which highlights Jesus as the fulfillment of the Old Testament promises and emphasizes Christ’s teaching on the Kingdom of Heaven.

✝️ The Church celebrates the Feast of St. Matthew on September 21st. This day honors not only his role as an apostle but also the witness of a life transformed — from tax collector to Gospel writer. His story reminds us that no one is beyond the reach of God’s call, and that our own vocations can be transformed when we answer Christ’s invitation.

🙏 As we approach this feast, may we reflect on how God calls us in unexpected ways to follow Him and share the Good News.

✝️ The Exaltation of the Holy Cross ✝️

This feast reminds us of the depth of Christ’s sacrifice and the victory of the cross. What was once a symbol of suffering and death has become for us a sign of hope, redemption, and eternal life. 🙏

May we take up our own crosses daily, knowing that through Christ, the cross has power to bring new life.

📖 Today we remember St. John Chrysostom — one of the great early Church Fathers, known for his powerful preaching and deep love for Scripture. His name means “Golden Mouth,” a reminder of the way God used his words to inspire and guide the Church.

May his life encourage us to speak truth with courage and grace in our own time. 🙏

✨ “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” – Proverbs 3:5

Life often brings uncertainty, but God’s wisdom is greater than our own. When we surrender our worries and place our trust in Him, we find peace in His perfect will. 🙏

May this verse be a reminder today to rest in God’s faithful guidance.

🌿 Today we celebrate the Nativity of Mary — the feast that honors the birth of the Blessed Virgin.
Just as her “yes” to God prepared the way for our salvation, her birth reminds us that God’s work of grace begins in the quiet, hidden places of life.

🙏 May this feast day inspire us to open our hearts in the same trust and faith that Mary showed.
