Ministerial letter – March 2024
In Proverbs 16:9, God’s Word says: “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps”. Nita and I have been in motion this entire month, unpacking, sorting, discarding, cleaning, making appointments, checking the list twice. As we have been going through this whirlwind, we pray seeking His wisdom. He has shown us the importance of segmenting this whole process. There are ten things that scream do it now, but He has encouraged us to set goals each day, so we don’t exhaust ourselves. Are we listening, I’m trying. One of the things we have faced is that Nita’s furniture has been in her son’s basement for nearly 10 years. It has taken a lot of elbow grease to bring back the natural beauty of the wood and mitigate the mold. Sort of an image of what God must do when we stray from His path. Get hold of us, rub away the filth, cover us with His fragrance, and restore the beauty that lies dormant because of our sinful behavior. In Revelation 21:5, He says: “Behold, I am making all things new”.
We are entering a season of reflection upon the reason we have hope in a world that is in turmoil. “Because He lives, I can face tomorrow, because He lives all fear is gone”. We are believers in a risen Savior who lives and reigns, interceding for us with His Father. Who fulfilled prophecy after prophecy foretold in the Old Testament that only the Messiah would fulfill. No other religion points to the death and resurrection of their deity.
Are you still making excuses to hold Jesus at arm’s length? I know I did it until the age of 39. When my life was in turmoil, I knew I needed something that the world had no answer for. Through Messianic Jewish friends, my footsteps were redirected towards our risen Savior, Jesus Christ. Has the path been easy since I dedicated my life to Him? No, but His solutions have been guiding me on a path of victory, not destruction. It’s His free gift to all of us. Give yourself an early Christmas present, the gift of Eternal life. Stop running and run towards Him. Come to a Christ centered Church this Sunday and lift your voice in praise to the One who loves you unconditionally. “He is risen, He is risen indeed!”
