“Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so!” That is a line from a Sunday School chorus I learned many years ago. It was true the first time I heard it, and it’s true today. How do you know God loves you – “for the Bible tells you so!” Another wonderful truth to know is how much He loves you and me… there’s another chorus that tells us that, and it is so very popular in Sunday Schools too, “Oh, how He loves you and me, Oh, how He loves you and me, Oh, how He loves you; Oh how He loves me; Oh how He loves you and me.” (The 2nd verse tells us more) “Jesus to Calvary did go, His love for sinners to show. What He did there, brought hope from despair, Oh how He loves you’ Oh how He loves me; Oh, how He loves you and me.” It’s wonderful to know that God sent His Son, Jesus, to earth to rescue me from my sin-scarred life; Jesus went to the cross to carry my sin there and pay my sin debt in full. From the grave He arose, victor over sin and death. He paid it all. Do you know He loves you, died for you on the cross, and rose again from the grave? That’s the message of Easter. Everyday is Easter for all mankind; come to Him, confess you are a born sinner and ask Him to forgive you. He is waiting to forgive you and grant you everlasting life; do it today; do it now!

Will this be the year Jesus calls all of His born again children home? Or perhaps it will be today – before I finish writing this. Be sure He is coming back; are you ready to receive Him or will you be one that is cast into the Lake of Fire to suffer forever? Take a moment and answer this question: Are you born again, or are you still one who needs to ask Him for forgiveness of your sins. In scripture, in Romans 3:23 it says “For ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” ALL have sinned it says, and that includes “ALL” of us. Ask Him today, “Jesus, I have sinned, forgive me “and He will forgive you. God bless everyone who asks Him, He will never say “no”.

The work of the cross is the act of God's grace. GRACE - it was what God was under no obligation to bestow. He might have rejected fallen man (as He did fallen angels). It is what we never did anything to merit; it was given while we were yet enemies, and before we repented.
It was from the love of God who saw no excellency in us to attract it, and it was never given because of our having earned it, or God being obligated to give it.
All the benefits of Christ -- salvation, justification, redemption, sanctification, etc., ALL are of Grace alone. Our calling out from sin into sonship, fellowship, and relationship are solely of Grace alone. Escape from the power of darkness of sin and everlasting hell are entirely of Grace. Righteousness, pardon, release from condemnation are of Grace alone. Sinful man is entirely, totally dependent on God for Grace.

WHAT IS A DISCIPLE?
A Disciple is one called away from sin; to be separated from the wickedness and darkness and helplessness of sin; to be delivered from the power of sin; a departure from the destruction and corruption of sin; from the denial of sin, to be a servant or ambassador of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords by His merciful grace. A disciple is called to serve Him, to be heard and seen, called to be light in this sin-darkened world. Our unsaved friends are not ashamed to announce that they are anti-God; the question is, are we ashamed of our Lord and Savior? Our enemy is “anti-Word of God”, he is brave, are you? We have God’s commandment to be His witnesses (Acts 1:8, Luke 24:48, Mark 16:15, and Matthew 28:19). John 14:15 and 1 John 1:34 tells us “love Me, keep my commandments”. Let’s identify the Bible from the Bible. The Bible is its own strongest defense along with the Holy Spirit. Let’s see what it says about itself and who wrote it. Jesus said, “Thy Word is Truth”, He is the Bible’s author -Our Lord and Savior.

GIVE GOD’S WORD ITS SACRED PLACE IN YOUR HEART
Allow God’s Word to be what He intended it to be: correction, discernment, instruction, wisdom. Let it be in your life as “A lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path” (Psalm 119:105). It shall accomplish what God has said it will…”Thus saith the Lord God Almighty”, “The Word of God…”, Genesis 1 - “in the beginning God…”, “And God said…”. GOD SAID IT! I BELIEVE IT! THAT SETTLES IT!

GOD HIMSELF HAS UNITED YOU TO HIM
Where is it safe today, where is “security”? Educational security, financial security, governmental security, military security, Social Security, youthful strength/security, etc., where is it safe? If you are born again, you have eternal security. If you are depending on yourself to make a safe and secure life for yourself, how are you doing? We are all dealing with the problems of life of one sort or another, aren’t we? What would you say if you were asked to list your problems, how long would your list be? As life goes on, the list would change, but never go away. Solve one problem, and two or three take its place, perhaps worse than the one that we solved. Jesus came to solve the problem that causes all the rest of man’s problems. It is the SIN problem. We all must meet Jesus at the cross and see what God, in Christ, did there. We need to be told the truth about who Jesus is, why He came to earth, and what you need to do once you know the truth of the Gospel. In order to know the truth of the Gospel, we need to look at the cross of Jesus Christ. Truth opposes lies, about us and about God. The Apostle John, in his writings, mentioned the word “truth” forty-two times. Jesus said, “I am TRUTH”. Satan, the father of lies and SIN, is the issue. That is the Biblical truth!

SHARING THE PERFECT LOVE OF GOD WITH THOSE WHO NEED IT
Where do we find those who need the saving grace and love of God? They are found in the darkest places, where there is no light of the Gospel. They don’t know how bad sin is , thus, WE HAVE TO SHARE THE PERFECT LOVE OF GOD WITH THOSE WHO NEED IT. The perfect love of God is in heaven, in His Son, Jesus, and in those who are his blood-bought children. We experienced that love when we responded to the gospel of His gracious love. That love has changed us into His image. I have found that God will cause us to meet those who will hate us, and revile us, and persecute us as they did to our Savior. We have the ability to respond with the love of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is only with this love that they can come to know Him as we know Him.
Remember, sinners act sinfully – they are hurt people that act hurt. All sinners are hurting people - hurt by the harmful presence of sin in them – sin they can do nothing about. They do not know the healing comfort of God’s grace; they do not know the peace of God; they do not know how to see the love of God because sin has blinded them. The Bible tells us “In the world those who are not ‘in Christ ‘are not sanctified, nor are they set aside for God, and they are not faithful to God or His Word. They cannot act godly or righteously…so, don’t be surprised when they don’t.
Jesus said “You (the Body of Christ) are the Light of the world”. “Light your light and so shine before men.” “Walk as children of light”. God so loved the blind – the lost (sinners that are without Christ), that He sent His Son, Jesus, to rescue them by taking their condemnation - the sin they suffer from and can do nothing about – upon Himself and paid all their sin debt, so they can have forgiveness and eternal life.
In Ephesians 1:1 we find words that describe those who are “in Christ”, those who are sanctified, or set apart for God, as “SAINTS”. So let us, as God’s “SAINTS”, start SHARING THE PERFECT LOVE OF GOD WITH THOSE WHO NEED IT!

MAN’S RECORD VARIES ALL THE TIME – “THEY” CALL IT “SCIENCE”
Man’s record varies all the time – “they” call it “science”. God wrote the record for all to see, Romans 1:19 and 20: “Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them. (20) For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things tat are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse. In the beginning God created light and life out of the darkness, which held no life. God separated the lifeless darkness from the life of light. He let the earth bring forth the life of the plant world. In them was the seed of life, He let the waters bring life of the aquatic world. The earth brought forth the life of the animal world, each after its kind. Then He brought forth man, created after His image, by the Spirit breathed life into him. Gal. 1:1-24 – It is by creation and the Spirit we know God!
In 1st Corinthians 2:9 – 13 we read “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Hoy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.” God has revealed this all to us by His Spirit of Wisdom in these verses, taught to us by the Spirit. That Spirit that brought life still brings life eternal by the Gospel of God’s grace.

A PERSONAL LETTER
A personal letter from – George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, General Eisenhour one day – written to your family, with your family name on it. How would you treat such a letter? Would it have a place of honor in your house, would you share it with anyone? A letter from Dad – How would you treat a letter from your Heavenly Father?
Sin has been dealt with; I’m delivered (Col. 1:13). Romans 8:1 - A letter of pardon – “There is now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus” “Free from the law of sin and death” Vs. 2 - “Ye have received the Spirit of adoption”.
Romans 8:14-17 reads “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (15) For ye have not received the spirit of bo***ge again to fear; but ye have received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father… (16) The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. (17) And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together”.
Ephesians 1:4, 5 – Chosen (to be sons of God) that we should be holy (like our heavenly Father) and without blame (sanctified, set aside from the evil business of this world) before Him in love. How does God show His love for His family – by sending His Son to free us from the deadly dangers of sin!! Vs. 3 – To set us free and make us Sons of God.
Revelation 22:13 – “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.”

WHO SHOULD WE FOLLOW or VOTE FOR?
New Year’s resolution or revelation in who we should follow or vote for. Should it be the one who said “drain the swamp” in Washington, or Uncle Joe? Change is what they all promise: “I’ll make it so much better if you just trust me and send a contribution to my campaign”. Is there anyone who can bring real change, or really drain the swamp?
Yes, there is…we just celebrated His birthday! His name is Jesus. God sent Him to provide change from sin to sonship, lost in the darkness of sin to the light of His merciful grace. You can trust Him with your life because he came to provide eternal life. John 3:36 tells us “He that believes on the Son (of God) has everlasting life, and he that does not believe on the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him”.
Want real change? Let Jesus change you forever!
