We had a wonderful time at our Family Faith Formation picnic and playground time this past Sunday.

Our families enjoyed lunch, caring conversation, a walk on the new trail, and time for sidewalk chalk and bubbles. We also shared a meal prayer and blessing for summer.

This summer our families will attend camp at Lutheridge, participate in a family games day, and learn and grow at Vacation Bible School.

Family Faith Formation is for families with children ages birth through fifth grade. There is a place for you at Mt. Zion. We invite you to join us in celebrating and sharing God’s love.

Singers from Mt. Zion Lutheran,St. Stephen’s Lutheran (ELCA), St. Luke’s Lutheran, Zion Lutheran, and the Catawba Valley Community Chorus are collaborating to present “Guide My Feet,” a program of Gospels, Spirituals, and Scripture that will inspire all to walk in faith and love.

The concert will be presented at Mt. Zion on Saturday, June 6th at 4:00 PM, and at Trinity Village on Sunday, June 7th at 3:00 PM.

The concert is FREE. Donations will be received for The Corner Table.

Our beloved organist of 48 years, Tim Warren, will be retiring on Sunday, July 5th. The impact of his music ministry at Mt. Zion and in the community has been incredible.

We hope you can join us in celebrating his retirement. Please share this invitation with anyone who may want to be part of this special day.

Loss is a part of all our lives, but that doesn't mean it is easy to face loss.

Join us on Wednesday, May 27th, from 5:30pm to 6:30pm for Mt. Zion's Loss and New Beginning's Group. We meet in the church parlor. Follow the signs for the fellowship hall.

There is a place for you in this group and with Jesus who wept at his dear friend, Lazarus', death.
