On Sunday, we were blessed to have The Reverend Phil Tonnesen, Assistant to the Bishop of the NC Synod, ELCA as our preacher and presider.

We are thankful for all those who share their gifts in worship. In addition to our ushers, communion servers, worship assistants, lectors, choir, and Altar Guild, a group of instrumentalists enhanced our music for the day by playing on the hymns and providing special music.

Our services are streamed weekly on Facebook Live, and are also available on YouTube. Click this link to watch this past Sunday’s service.

A reading from Psalm 8.

1 O Lord, our Sovereign,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory above the heavens.

2 Out of the mouths of babes and infants
you have founded a bulwark because of your foes,
to silence the enemy and the avenger.

3 When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars that you have established;

4 what are human beings that you are mindful of them, mortals that you care for them?

5 Yet you have made them a little lower than God,
and crowned them with glory and honour.

6 You have given them dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under their feet,

7 all sheep and oxen,
and also the beasts of the field,

8 the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea,
whatever passes along the paths of the seas.

9 O Lord, our Sovereign,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!

❤️ Give Blood. Give Hope. Share God's Love. ❤️

At Mt. Zion, we believe that loving God and loving our neighbors isn't just something we say—it's something we live. One simple act of generosity can make an extraordinary difference in the life of someone you've never met.

Our upcoming Blood Drive is an opportunity to be the hands and feet of Christ by giving a gift that cannot be manufactured and is always needed: the gift of life.

Whether you're a first-time donor or a regular giver, we invite you to prayerfully consider participating. Together, we can make a life-saving impact.

🩸 **Mt. Zion Blood Drive**
📅 Wednesday, October 28th
🕒 2:00 - 6:30 PM

It was a joyful Camp Sunday at MZ! 🤗🎶✝️

Our families led camp songs alongside Lutheridge Camp Directors, Pastor Drew and Sara Yoos, and their children. Kids, parents, and grandparents also shared about their camp experiences and thanked the congregation for prioritizing family faith formation. Pastor Drew shared the message that Jesus offers everyone a place at the table.

Thank you Lutheridge and NovusWay Ministries for supporting congregational faith formation by offering Family Camp!

We had a wonderful Homecoming celebration this past Sunday! We enjoyed having Pastor Judy Drysdale as our guest preacher and greeting one another during the meal after worship.

As part of the festivities, our Joyful Ringers handbell ensemble played special music for worship and presented a concert at 1:00 PM. The group invited concert attendees to come up after the concert to play the bells and chimes, and learn more about ringing. 🎶
