🙏A Prayer for Those Affected by Violence🙏
Gracious God, we pray today for all those affected by violence and bombing around the world. We especially remember the families who have lost loved ones, those who are wounded, those who are frightened, and all who grieve in the aftermath.
We pray for the military personnel who are stationed in places of conflict and danger. Surround them with your protection and presence. Give them courage, wisdom, and strength, and watch over the families and loved ones who wait and worry for them at home.
Be with those who are caring for the injured and those working to bring safety and relief to those who are suffering. Comfort those who mourn, especially children and families whose lives have been forever changed by violence.
Turn our hearts toward compassion, mercy, and peace. Give wisdom to leaders and courage to all who work for an end to violence. In the midst of fear and sorrow, remind us that your love is stronger than violence and that you hold all your children in your care.
Through Jesus Christ, our Prince of Peace, we pray. Amen.
