The Mt. Zion Give Away Garden produced enough to give away 60 pounds of squash and cucumbers to the Corner Table in Newton this week.

We are grateful for our 7 pickers and all who will carry food to The Corner Table and Ashure Ministry this summer. Beans and tomatoes will be coming on soon. Look at all the blooms of promise.

It was a great Day 2 of Family Camp at Lutheridge!

What a joy it is to spend time together in God‘s beautiful creation. 🌲☀️ Here’s a glimpse at today’s schedule⬇️

☕️Family-style breakfast in the dining hall
📖 Kid’s camp/Adult Bible study
🧺 Picnic lunch outdoors
😴 Rest time

From your Mt. Zion evangelism team:

1. This week, invite someone to join you for a walk on our Mt. Zion walking trail. If you aren't able to walk the trail, invite someone for a brown bag lunch in our meditation garden. Share a few moments of quiet and connection.

2. Pray for the last four people that you texted. If one of them does not have a church, invite them to join you next Sunday for Faith Formation or worship.

Our first full day at Lutheridge Family Camp was amazing! ☀️

We started the day with morning worship and family-style breakfast. Then we had kid’s camp and adult care time, which included Bible study, singing, and spending five minutes in silence outside.

After lunch, we enjoyed rest time, slip-n-slide, archery, basketball, and crafts.

In the evening we enjoyed family dinner, board and card games, team-building activities, and rock climbing.

We ended the day with evening worship outside. Within our family groups we shared highs, lows, and God moments, and took time to pray for each other by name.

Our hearts are full and we can’t wait for Day 2!

The way ahead after a loss is thru grief and mourning.
As Jesus reminds us, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." Matthew 5:4

Mt. Zion's Grief and New Beginnings Group meets tomorrow, June 10, from 5:30pm to 6:30 pm in the church parlor. Our group is here for one another in the journey and learning more about grieving realistically and redemptivelly. There is a place for you if you are experiencing loss.
