I will share three Scriptures First:

Proverbs: 3: 5-6 GNT - 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. 6 Remember the LORD in everything you do, and he will show you the right way.

Isaiah 40:31 GNT - 31 But those who trust in the LORD for help will find their strength renewed. They will rise on wings like eagles; they will run and not get weary; they will walk and not grow weak.

Page 281-282 – What Would Jesus Do (WWJD) – From “In His Steps” by Charles M. Sheldon.

I read these Principles over 25 years ago. These principles helped me develop a more focused frame of reference in my spiritual life and also in my business life.

Milton Wright was the local businessman in the Sheldon's story. He came up with this list of business principles he thought Jesus would probably do in his place as a businessman:

“1. He would engage in the business first of all for the purpose of glorifying God, and not for the primary purpose of making money.”

“2. All money that might be made he would never regard as his own, but as trust funds to be used for the good of humanity.”

“3. His relations with all the persons in his employ (DBOs*) would be the most loving and helpful. He could not help thinking of all of them in the light of souls to be saved. This thought would always be greater than his thought of making money in the business.”

“4. He would never do a single dishonest or questionable thing or try in any remotest way to get the advantage of anyone else in the same business.”

“5. The principle of unselfishness and helpfulness in the business would direct all its details.”

“6. Upon this principle he would shape the entire plan of his relations to his employees, (DBOs*), to people who were his customers, (TCMs*), and to the general business world.”

I will leave you with these same three Scriptures:

Proverbs: 3: 5-6 GNT - 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. 6 Remember the LORD in everything you do, and he will show you the right way.

Isaiah 40:31 GNT - 31 But those who trust in the LORD for help will find their strength renewed. They will rise on wings like eagles; they will run and not get weary; they will walk and not grow weak.

Psalm 145: 18 ESV - 18 The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

Christmas Love - 2023

2023 was again a year filled with wonderful highs and less faith testing challenges, but as always, we could clearly see God’s loving care and provision for our lives, including a new 6 # female dog: Peanut. (See my Face Book Story picture.)

The year started with our community not being held hostage by Covid-19 Pandemic restrictions. The churches were open, and we were able to worship in person.

Debi and I had many wonderful dinners together again this year, most of the time we were at home and played cards after dinner. We were also blessed to have many meals with family and friends over this past year as well. We celebrated my 75th birthday with family and close friends with a bar-b-que in our back yard. It reminded me of my brother Bill’s surprise 75th birthday party 9 years ago and the many God moments that followed. (Well detailed in my Faith Walk Story, Grandpa’s Secret Gift), published in 2019, just before we moved back to Conneaut.

Since then, I have written Grandpa’s Guide to Grandpa’s Secret Gift, with updates and a guide to each of the many stories in my book. Originally written so I could find the stories, I was sharing in the Book/Bible Study Groups. LOL! I added this past year updates and thoughts about current events that relate to my original stories. (If you text your email to my phone number above, I will send you a copy.)

It will help better understand some of my stories, like the “Rotary God Moment Story”. If after you review this 26-page document, and would like to read the entire story referenced, but do not already have a copy of my book, let me know and I will send you a copy as my Christmas Gift.

We had many Blessings this year starting with the Invitation to help take care of our Grand-daughter Zoe, while Blaine was at a major fishing tournament and Jesse was knee-deep in several annual audits. (Blaine was ranked in the Top Ten Bass Fishermen in the State of Florida, so this event was a big deal!)

We also had our biggest challenge on this trip, Debi fell on uneven ground getting out of the Tahoe. She hurt her back and finally after jumping through all the Insurance Company hurdles she is having a procedure that should eliminate her back pain for several years. Answered Prayer!

We had many wonderful gatherings this year, at the Lake, beach, and church. Our three oldest Grand-children, Zak, Kelsey, and Ethan along with their wife, fiancé and significant other, Aliya, Amine and Aly planned a Pirates’ multiple Birthday party celebration and get together. It was located at Harrington Point where Aunt Sue, Grandma Graner and Uncle Bob, all own cottages. Blaine and the boys went fishing and they created a fisherman’s feast for all! Lots of fun, conversation, great food, a Pirate Attack and Scavenger hunt, with Biased Judges throwing out illegitimate finds. 1 Pirate was outraged!

I’m working a new Income Opportunity from home. Believe it or not this start-up has changed over 100,000 lives already! Not mlm, no product, no auto-ship! Just a new lease on life. After going to the Formal Launch in Las Vegas last month with 3,000 Servant Leaders, can now see exciting possibilities!

Debi and I had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Gage, Genn, their family and friends, Seth and Megan flew up from Texas and we picked them up outside Chicago and took them to Thanksgiving in Coal Valley, IL. We visited our dear friend, Dorothy from Kingman, Arizona now living in Boone, Iowa. We were also able to spend time with Tom and Sherry in Indy going to and coming from Thanksgiving.

When you receive/read this Christmas Letter, know you have been placed in our lives for a reason and you have blessed us in many ways over the years! Most if not all of you have been in our thoughts and prayers this past year!

Wishing You All A Very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
Love,
Debi & Dick
