✝️ Today is the Temporary Exception to the Norm for the Good of our Church Family ✝️
Church Family,
When things happen outside of our control, we trust the One who is always in control. Today, is still a day of worship! I encourage you to worship the Lord Jesus Christ at home.
We are sitting at home waiting for the weather to pass us by. This is a great time to worship as your life has come to a standstill. I encourage you to fill your time today with the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Lord Jesus Christ demonstrated power over creation during his time with his disciples. If Jesus calmed the storm, he could calm this inclement weather if that was part of his plans but it's not. I pray that you continue to stay safe and warm.
My heart desires to be with my church family today because you are my happy place. You are my brothers and sisters in Christ who encourage my faith. I pray that my words effectively encourage you to worship our Lord Jesus Christ today.
Lead yourself and your loved ones in worship today by bowing the knee to the Lord Jesus Christ in your hearts. I pray that you will find strength and comfort through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. Lord willing, we will see each other soon to worship together. Amen.
In Christ,
Pastor Todd

[Heb 10:24-25 ESV] 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Answer: We go to church to be a family of faith that joyfully worships God together. God has adopted us into one family in Christ. We are to enjoy the blessings of God together.
[Psa 122:1, 4 ESV] I was glad when they said to me, "Let us go to the house of the LORD!" ... to give thanks to the name of the LORD.
📖 Scripture Reading for Worship 📖
Jesus is God in the Flesh and Worthy of Worship
[Phl 2:4-11 ESV] 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
[Col 1:15-17 ESV] 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities--all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
[Heb 1:1-4 ESV] 1 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. 3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.
