Beloved Saints,
I am rejoicing to be back in the office again this week. Thank you to Ken and Larry for filling the pulpit. Thank you to the elders and everyone else who filled in for me in other capacities as well. We are so blessed to have a body who loves to serve one another. I rejoice that God has gifted you all with gifts to use in His service.

Ashton and I enjoyed the Puritan Reformed Conference in Grand Rapids. We were refreshed, equipped, and invigorated. Now, I am glad to be back to the regular study and preparation of the Word.

We will be back in Psalm 27 this Sunday. Some of you asked me to take another Sunday with it and finish it. Truthfully, we could spend a lot of time in this psalm, but we will just take one more week.

Note that this Sunday is the prayer breakfast. I hope to see you all there as you are able.

This is also Promotion Sunday, where we celebrate the children moving up to the next Sunday School class. We will do something just a little bit differently during the service in that regard.

Thank you for your prayers. I have prayed for you all that the Lord would increase your knowledge and understanding of His Word, so that you may be fruitful, strengthened, and overjoyed through the power of His Spirit mightily at work in you. Keep your eyes on Him.

Celebration of Life Service
We offer our condolences to the Dennis Knapp family. There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 10:00 a.m, at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Following that, a Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:30 a.m., at The Baptist Church, followed by a luncheon and fellowship time.
