Join us for worship this September as we begin our Jesus and Dolly series. We will be exploring some of the ways that Dolly and her music reflects a life of faith rooted in the goodness of God and a desire for all people to know they are loved. We hope you will join us beginning September 6th. 🦋

Heaven gained a little more sparkle this week. ✨

Dolly Parton, daughter of the Southern Appalachians, born in a one-room cabin in the Smokies, has gone home at 80.

She was kin to these Blue Ridge Mountains so many of us love. And she was kin to us in spirit: a woman who loved boldly, served joyfully, and led courageously. She never hid her shine because she believed God could use a little girl from nothing to light up the whole world. And she did. She put millions of books into the hands of children. She brought hope to the hearts of strangers she'd never met. And her desire to share the Gospel message of God's vast & inclusive love was at the center of it all.

She once said, "I never had children of my own. God didn't let me have children so everybody's children could be mine." That was Dolly — love with no fences around it, wrapped in a whole lot of glitter.

Shine on, Dolly. Thank you for showing us what joyful, courageous love looks like. 💗✨

This Sunday, worship is going to look different. We are going to be packing shoeboxes for Project Agape as our act of worship. We give thanks to God for the ways we have experienced God's goodness and we seek to respond in acts of love and charity. So when you come to worship this Sunday, you may not be hearing a sermon, but we hope that our worship will show justice rolling down like water, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.

As United Methodists, we believe that "our worship in both its diversity and its unity is an encounter with the living God through the risen Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. When the people of God gather, the Spirit is free to move them to worship in diverse ways, according to their needs. Worship that is authentic, invitational and draws us nearer to God comes in many forms."

Join us this Sunday for Worship in the Village.
We are a progressive, inclusive community that values safety, faithfulness, inclusion and belonging. We hope to be a place for you to come as you are, and explore what faith means in your life. This Sunday, in our Games of Life series, we are talking about The Chameleon, a game about blending in. Sometimes it seems like following Jesus looks different depending on who you are with. How do we use discernment and listen to the Spirit in order to do what is faithful?
