Some moments deserve their own space.

On Father’s Day, we gathered around the alter to pray with, for, and over the fathers and father figures that are in our church. It was a powerful reminder that no one is meant to carry the weight of leadership, provision, and discipleship alone.

We’re grateful for the men who continue to show up, love well, and point their families towards Jesus.

Transmit or transform? Would you rather do the Christian thing and apologize first or do you want the anger, the hurt, the pain to go through you and live on in those you care about? If you don’t forgive, and you keep going back to the debt you feel is owed to you, who is the real prisoner here? Forgiveness is not letting an unsafe person back into your life, it’s not pretending that something never happened. It’s called reconciliation.

A beautiful Sunday where we loved on our Father, our dads, our grandpas, pawpaws, our uncles, our father figures, the spiritual men we look up to in our lives. A baptism of a dedicated volunteer, and some awards for “outsmoking the shepherd”… the wheel of emotions was EVERYWHERE. And God said that it was good.

God created us to be rulers… of our gardens.

The Tower of Babel, all upright and “look at me. Look at us. We are the best.” Maybe we aren’t outside with a pile of bricks to lay them up to the sky…but maybe we think we don’t need God to give us an identity. Maybe we think our careers will speak for themselves. Our portfolios will speak for themselves. Our platforms have thousands of followers, so that must mean something?

Wrong. To make a name for ourselves is the opposite of honoring God.

Do not be conformed by this world that wants to make us tower builders. Be a garden grower. A table setter.
