Nobody puts baby in a corner 😎

Heart for the House was everything it was meant to be. There wasn’t just one big moment that stood out. The day was filled with dozens of “toddler sized” moments, if you will. It was one of those Sundays where everything we did legitimately tied back to the same heartbeat. Kids. Legacy. Discipleship. Community.

Our KidMin Leaders gave testimonies. Our Youth Group kids prayed over our church. The littles sat semi circle on the stage and listened to a sermon about skittle colors and had all of our faces hurting from smiling so big. Our graduates were honored, whether it had been high school or collage graduation. Our announcements were read in Gen-Z lingo?! But that’s what was planned. The beautiful moments were out of our control and in God’s hands. Families cuddling in their seats. Littles serving with their parents. Black cupcake icing 😉

We’re gunna go ahead and say it… there’s no where else to be on a Sunday morning besides Sojo Church if you want an overflowing heart for Jesus.

Tomorrow is all about the kids. Tomorrow is about the future. Not just of our church, but of the children. Safely helping them grow in their walk with Jesus that parents and families instill in them. It’s going to be cute for sure, but it’s going to be powerful. It’s going to be impactful.

Let’s posture ourselves for Heart for the House.

See you tomorrow. 9am & 11am.

You can feel when a room is hungry for God.
Not loud for the sake of being loud. Not emotional for the sake of emotion. Just real people worshipping like they really actually believe He is still good.

That kind of worship changes people. That kind of community heals people.

Maybe that’s why we keep coming back…

“We don’t go to church, we are the church. And we come home on Sundays.” -quote from the email that went out this morning 😮‍💨

That’s it. That’s the post. Just a solid reminder that it’s not the walls, it’s the people. It’s the prayers. It’s the kids. It’s the community. It’s the faith gathered together.

Despite us as humans worrying constantly, stressing continuously, and being riddled with anxiety…God still instills peace within us.

It’s real hard not to feel the love of Jesus radiate from inside you when your preacher prays over you like this.

“He loves you way too much to let you keep worshipping the system of anxiety in search of peace.” Whewwwwwww! Sunday was...

“He loves you way too much to let you keep worshipping the system of anxiety in search of peace.” Whewwwwwww!

Sunday was honest. It was raw. It was real. We talked about scarcity and abundance; the worry tree and the worship tree. We talked about posture. And maybe the hardest thing of all… we talked about how often we choose worry because deep down maybe we think God isn’t enough. 👀

But even when we are eating fruit from the worry tree, God meets us with mercy. He doesn’t shame us. He calls us back to trust. To sabbath. Back to community.

And community showed up this weekend.
