As a church family, we celebrate the life of one of our beloved past servant leaders at The Bay Church, Pastor Bret Allen, who went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 4.

Bret was on the pastoral team here at The Bay Church for a number of years as Youth Pastor in the 90s alongside his parents, Pastor Harley and Kaye Allen, who served our Bay Church family for 13 years as Lead Pastors. He and his wife, Valerie, did an extraordinary job for generations of middle and high school students. Following his time at The Bay Church, he served as a Lead Pastor and went on to serve as our District Superintendent, overseeing the 445 Assemblies of God churches in Northern California/Nevada.

Bret lived his life as a man of God. To know that he is now celebrating in the presence of Jesus brings us some comfort and hope. We will see him again one day, because “we know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” Our deepest condolences to his wife, Valerie Allen; to Pastor Harley and Kaye, his parents; and to his children and grandchildren.

We are so grateful for the powerful example of Bret’s life, the fruit of which continues to live on in our Bay Church family and in the work of the Kingdom of God throughout the Bay Area. Our prayers and love are with the Allen family always.

Bret’s Celebration of Life service will be held at Destiny Church Sacramento on Friday, May 22nd at 1pm.
