Save the Date – June 15th!

We are kicking off a weekly summer reading program on Monday, June 15th at 1:30 PM in the Children’s Library. Join us!

Stories and activities may be best suited for elementary age children and families, and ALL are welcome!

A parent or caregiver should plan to stay and engage in activities alongside their child(ren). There will be fun for all!

Our first book is God’s Coming to Visit by Franz Hübner, Angela Glökler, and Rea Grit Zielinski.

Take a look at the book cover. Do you have a stuffie that looks like an animal who lives in the forest? Or one that you’ve seen at the zoo? You are invited to bring ONE stuffie with you to enjoy this fun book together!

Please contact René Prager, [email protected], with any questions.

A shout out to the amazing staff at First Kids for creating these colorful and inviting works of art for this week's summer camp and next week's VBS week!

If you are visiting campus this week or next, please note special traffic patterns and parking lot closures as we work to keep everyone safe.

This week's First Kids camp will impact traffic flow in both the lower lot and the upper lot between 8:45 & 1:15.

Next week, June 8-11, the upper lot will be closed (except for the drop off line) until after 12:15 pm. Bible study is cancelled on June 10.

Dear Friends,

On Sunday we will celebrate Pentecost recalling when the Holy Spirit was poured out on the apostles gathered in Jerusalem after Jesus’ ascension. Our texts for worship are Philippians 4:4-7 and Acts 2:1-21. In the first, Paul speaks of peace and gentleness in the face of anxiety. In the second we hear about the rush of wind and fire and a chorus of multiple languages. The Holy Spirit is in the mix in both texts, bringing comfort and courage, gentleness and power. What might the Spirit be doing in our midst right now?

I look forward to worshiping with you on Sunday when we’ll listen for the Spirit’s leading for us.

Grace and peace,
Ellen

Dear Friends,

This Sunday, we will continue our time with Paul and his letter to the Philippian church (Philippians 2:1-13) when Paul paints a vivid picture of who the church is called to be, a picture modeled on Christ himself. We will also ordain and install our newest class of ruling elders and deacons giving us a chance to reflect together on what it means to lead and what it means to serve. Casey beautifully highlighted how deeply our call to welcome others matters. Who else are we called to be, not simply as individuals but as a community if we are doing our faithful best to imitate Jesus?

I hope to see you Sunday when we’ll wonder together.

Grace and peace,
Ellen
