Today is Good Friday—the day that looked like defeat… but became the turning point of history.

The cross reminds us that God can take the worst day the world has ever seen and, in just three days, turn it into the greatest victory ever known. Death gave way to life. Darkness gave way to light. And because of that, no situation in your life is beyond His power to redeem.

Whatever you’re walking through right now—God is still in the business of making all things new.

We would love for you and your family to join us this Easter Sunday as we celebrate the resurrection and the hope we have in Jesus.

9:30am – Breakfast
10:00am – Egg Hunt
10:30am – Worship Service

Come experience the joy, the hope, and the life-changing truth of Easter.

The story is not over… and neither is yours.

What God is doing in our Youth Group right now is incredible.

Just a short time ago, we had 5 students… now we’re seeing 20 show up on Sunday nights—and it’s still growing.

This isn’t just about numbers. It’s about students hungry for truth, building real friendships, and learning what it means to walk in “The Way” (Acts 9:2).

If you’re a parent looking for a place where your student will be challenged, encouraged, and grounded in God’s Word—or if you’re a student looking for something real—you are invited.

Sunday Nights | 6:00–7:30 PM

Here’s what to expect:
• Icebreaker (yes, it’s actually fun)
• Student-led worship
• Bible study that tackles real life- (surprisingly we laugh the most during this part, go figure)
• Games + time to hang out

No pressure. No pretending. Just a group of students growing together in Christ.

Come check it out this Sunday. Bring a friend.

Let’s keep watching what God does next.

Thank you to everyone who came out for the benefit breakfast Saturday for Baby Lauren, the 5-month old needing a heart transplant that we have been praying for.

It was a huge success, raising $92,450!

If you couldn't attend and the Lord leads you to make a donation, you can do it here.

Phones went off for the tornado warning to shelter in place so we went to open the church up for those driving by and the neighborhood if they didn't feel safe, we have a basement with restrooms and it could withstand any storm.

Fortunately it all passed with little consequence.

Stay safe out there!

Celebrated six new church members today!

Each of these bouquets had 12 cupcakes in them but some in our congregation counted the entire arrangement as one cupcake.

We are excited to officially welcome Elias Broadway as our new Worship Leader at The Rock.
Last summer, after camp, I sent Elias a message. I had heard my children rave about Elias and how he invested in them — especially Jon-Jon — and I was deeply impressed. They came home talking about his leadership, his humility, and the way he served without needing the spotlight. I told him then that he didn’t just lead with his voice — he led with his life.
I never imagined that conversation would lead to this moment.
Elias is a college student at Central Piedmont Community College and a gifted multi-instrumentalist. He plays guitar, piano, drums, and bass. He also has a strong creative side, producing and editing video projects and recently releasing his debut album, Rinse, this past October.
But what matters most isn’t talent — it’s testimony.
Elias was saved at eight years old and baptized shortly after at Dulins Grove Advent Christian Church. Since then, he has pursued Christ faithfully, seeking to grow in spiritual maturity and use his gifts for God’s glory.
His heart for worship is simple and powerful: to create an environment where everyone feels welcome and free to authentically praise God for all He has done.
Church family, this is not just about music. It’s about leadership. It’s about example. It’s about a young man who has quietly and consistently chased after Christ — and now God has opened a door.
We are grateful. We are expectant. And we are excited for what the Lord will do through this next season of worship at The Rock.
Please join me in welcoming Elias Broadway.

Have you ever struggled to celebrate someone else’s success when it felt like it cost you something?

Promotion. Recognition. Influence. Opportunity. Sometimes the hardest spiritual test isn’t suffering — it’s watching someone else be blessed.

This Sunday at The Rock, we’re walking through 1 Samuel 18 in our series "The Kingdom Before the King" with a message titled:

Love or Jealousy: How You Respond When God Puts His Hand on Someone Else.

David rises. Jonathan surrenders. Saul spirals.
Three men. Same reality. Different hearts.

What do you do when someone younger is elevated?
When someone else is praised?
When the spotlight shifts?

Scripture shows us that how we respond in those moments reveals whether we love the kingdom… or just our crown.

Join us this Sunday as we explore:
• Jonathan’s covenant love
• Saul’s growing fear
• David’s humble faithfulness
• And how the gospel frees us from comparison

If you’ve ever wrestled with jealousy, insecurity, or feeling overlooked — this message is for you.

Come worship with us and discover how to walk in freedom when God’s favor rests on someone else.

Church family — important update for today:

Due to the snow and unsafe conditions, we are cancelling service for today.

On top of that, our church heater is not working, and I also couldn’t get my office computer to work for streaming, so we won’t be able to go live online either.

Lord willing, we’ll all be back together next Sunday — hopefully with heat and clear roads.

Please stay safe and stay warm. We love you all.
