The qualifications for ministers laid out in the Bible are limiting. This is not an accident or coincidence. It is their design. It is the reason qualifications exist... To limit who can undertake these pastoral roles in the Church.

It is true that ALL CHRISTIANS, irrespective of their past or present state, have a call to ministry. Every Christian is called to share the Gospel and live a life faithful to Christ. Every Christian is called to follow after Christ's example. As the scriptures tell us, "Many are called..."

"But few are chosen."

The offices of pastoral ministry are restricted. These restrictions are not the mandates of culture or tradition. They are restrictions put in place in the Bible.
