Next week the Class of 2025 goes to Yosemite. To help prepare them for the leadership and physical challenges, we had an all school trip to John Muir House combined with a 4+ mile hike up Mt. Wanda!
The 8th graders displayed their leadership by making lunches for the entire school, guiding us through Schoolwide Learning Expectations reflections, and providing encouragement to their mixed grade level faith family groups on the trail.
It was day of experiential learning and community building!
Education in mind, body, and spirit!

Advent marks a new year in our faith. This season begins our anticipation of Christmas, where hope is made visible. This week, let us pause and reflect on our sources of hope, and ask how we could be a source of hope for others.

May this season be meaningful for you and your loved ones!

During this week of Thanksgiving, we remember and offer gratitude to the generations of Christian Brothers who have entrusted this Lasallian mission to us today.

November 21, 1691, is celebrated as an important day in our Lasallian history because of the Heroic Vow made by John Baptist de La Salle, Gabriel Drolin, and Nicolas Vuyart. 332 years after, how do we commit to the same Lasallian Mission?

We are officially on Thanksgiving Break at DLSA! Our week was highlighted by our 1st Trimester Honors Assembly and Family Luncheon, with over 100 family members coming out to celebrate the academic success of our 68 scholars. The 5th grade led the community in a Thanksgiving Prayer Service to close out our week. In the Gospel reflection, Mr. G challenged the students to make gratitude a verb: How will you be a steward of these opportunities to show your gratitude?

Peace and blessings to all DLSA students, families, staff, and supporters out there!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Learn more about our fellow Lasallian school partners at Sunday’s Open House. It’s the destination for 85% of DLSA graduates!

Do you know any 7th or 8th-grade families that might be interested in De La Salle for their son? Tell them to join us on Sunday, November 5 from 9:30 am to noon at our special Open House for future Spartans.

Visit our campus. Speak to teachers in their classrooms. See model lessons. Meet a number of program directors and coaches. Mingle with our student community! The event also features presentations from our President, David Holquin, and Vice President for Academic Life, Dr. Heather Alumbaugh.

Send them to https://www.dlshs.org/admissions/visit for more information or to register.
