God’s Creative Power 🌌
Scripture: Genesis 1:1-3
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light."
Reflection
The very first thing God reveals about Himself is that He is a Creator. Before there was anything—no time, no space, no stars—there was God.
Notice the transition in these verses:
The Chaos: The earth began as "formless and empty." It was a void of darkness.
The Presence: Even in the darkness, the Spirit of God was "hovering." He was present before the work even began.
The Power: God didn't have to struggle to create. He simply spoke. When the Voice of God meets the darkness of the void, the result is always light.
Whatever "formless" or "dark" areas you feel are in your life today, remember that the same God who spoke the stars into existence is hovering over your situation. His word has the power to bring light into your deepest darkness.
