Today’s message from Nehemiah 5 asked: What difference does the fear of God make in the way I actually live?

A proper fear of God shapes our choices, our treatment of others, and our response when God shows us something that needs to change.

May we be able to say with Nehemiah: “But I did not do so, because of the fear of God.” (Nehemiah 5:15)

This morning we’ll continue our series, Nehemiah: Rebuilding What Matters Most, with a message from Nehemiah 4:10–23: “When Discouragement Sets In.”

We’ll look at what discouragement does to us, why remembering who God is changes our perspective, and how we can seek Him for wisdom to take the next right step.

Whatever you may be carrying today, come worship with us and be reminded: our God is great, He is faithful, and He is still at work.

Join us this morning at Hilltop Chapel as we continue our series through Nehemiah.

This week we’ll look at Nehemiah 4:1–9 and ask: What do we do when faithful obedience meets opposition?

We’ll see how Nehemiah responded to criticism, hurt, and growing threats—and how we can learn to pray first, stay focused on what God has given us to do, and act with wisdom without trying to control the outcome.

We look forward to worshiping together this morning at Hilltop Chapel!

Rev. Steve Floyd will be our guest speaker and will bring the morning message from John 17.

Please note that there will be **no livestream of today’s service**. Pastor Chris will return next Sunday, and we will resume our series, **“Nehemiah: Rebuilding What Matters Most,”** with Nehemiah 4.

We hope you’ll join us in person this morning!

If you were looking for yesterday’s livestream of our Nehemiah sermon, we had a technical glitch and unfortunately were unable to stream the service.

The good news is that you can still keep up with the series through this week’s sermon blog:

**Before You Act: How to Face Problems with Wisdom and Hope**

From Nehemiah 2:11–20, we look at three practical truths:

* Use discretion before rushing to act.
* Face reality honestly while recognizing the good hand of God.
* Let God’s faithfulness strengthen you to take the next faithful step.

The blog also looks at what makes a good Christian testimony and how sharing what God has done can strengthen the faith and hope of others.

If you missed the service, this is the best way to stay connected with where we are in **Nehemiah: Rebuilding What Matters Most** this week.

Most of us know what it feels like to see a problem and immediately want to do something about it. A relationship is strained. Something at work is not functioning well. We hear troubling information about someone. We recognize a weakness in our own lives. Maybe we see a need in our church...

Join us today at Hilltop Chapel as we continue our journey through Nehemiah with “When God Gives Hope to Rebuild” from Nehemiah 2:11–20.

Nehemiah faced the ruins honestly, testified to the good hand of God, and watched discouraged people find courage to rise and build.

The circumstances were difficult, but God was at work.

Because God has been faithful, take the next faithful step.

We would love to have you worship with us today as we look at how God gives hope when something in life needs rebuilding.

Today at Hilltop Chapel, we’ll be in Nehemiah 1:11–2:10 as we look at what it means to move from seeing a need to being willing for God to use us. Join us for “Turning Burden Into Action” as we worship, pray, and hear God’s Word together.

Join us this Sunday morning for a meaningful time of worship, testimony, and truth from God’s Word.

We’ll hear from Kylie as she shares about her teaching ministry with children in Prague and how God is using her there.

We’ll also conclude our When God Changes the Story series with a message from Ephesians 2 and Acts 9: “From Death to Life: The Power of ‘But God.’”

Saul’s story reminds us that no one is beyond the reach of God’s mercy. The same God who changed his story is still changing lives today.

The question is: Are we open to God changing our story? Are we willing to let Him work in our lives?

We hope you’ll join us this Sunday.

Since we couldn't gather together for worship this morning, we invite you to join us online.

Our Sunday message, "When God Changes a Nation" from Jonah 3, is now available on YouTube. In this message we'll see how God responds when people humble themselves, repent, and seek His mercy—and what that means for us today.

We pray this message will encourage your heart as you worship from home.
