Temple Beth Jacob

Temple Beth Jacob TBJ is a welcoming community with a wide range of Jewish experience, commitment, and observance. We hope you’ll find a home with us.

We are one of the oldest synagogues in New Hampshire, founded in 1907. Begun as an Orthodox synagogue, we affiliated with the Reform movement just after World War II. As Concord’s only synagogue, we are an eclectic blend of Jewish worship practices, as our members represent the full spectrum of Jewish diversity. At our heart, however, are warmth and a welcoming spirit to all who enter our doors. W

hether you are Jewish by birth or by choice, married/partnered with someone who is Jewish, raising Jewish children, searching, or just curious, know that you are always welcome at TBJ. L’shalom (with peace), Rabbi Robin Nafshi

In this morning’s Detroit Free Press, columnist Mitch Albom catches up with Temple Israel more than two months after the terrorist attack on our campus. Mitch shares how our synagogue community remains displaced amid significant reconstruction efforts.

Everything from carpet to sanctuary seats, classrooms to offices, was damaged by water, soot, and smoke from the fire caused by the attack.

While the rebuilding continues, so does the strength and resilience of our community.
