A mid-week refresher:

What Pastor Mike shared on Sunday is vital for our future!

We're not just building a building - we're building a church! As we launch our "Building Forward" series, we're reminded of a powerful truth from Psalm 127: "Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain."

Solomon, the builder of the first temple, understood something crucial: the real temple isn't made of bricks and mortar. According to 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, WE are the temple where the Holy Spirit dwells. Our new building at 371 Old Salisbury-Concord Road will be a tool for ministry, not an end in itself.

The bottom line? The bricks and mortar must SERVE our ministry, not DETERMINE it. We're building a center for winning lost people to Jesus, a hub for children's and student ministry, a house of prayer, and a community that watches over one another in love. Let's build what truly matters - disciples, not just buildings!

Today at Grace Church we celebrate Mother's Day, and look at the wider dynamic of modeling and imitating. Pastor Mike's message is entitled, "The Children Are Watching." Moms and all of us who have children in our lives have the amazing opportunity to model real faith in Jesus for the children, who are ever watching and imitating what they see in the adults around them.
