Welcome back, seminarians!

Today marks the beginning of a new year of formation and discernment at Conception Seminary College. This year, we welcome more than 70 seminarians from 14 dioceses, our highest enrollment in quite a few years!

We give thanks for each young man who has answered the call to explore where God may be leading him. Please join us in praying for our seminarians as they begin another year of prayer, study, fraternity and discernment. May God bless their time at Conception and guide them ever closer to His will.

What makes a good priest? According to Fr. Paul Clark, it begins with the same qualities that make a good monk, and ultimately, a good man of God.

Drawing on his experience as both a former seminarian and now a vocation director, Fr. Clark reflects on how the Benedictine tradition shapes men through a life of prayer, hospitality, and community. These foundational habits prepare men to live faithfully in whatever vocation God calls them to.
