Conception Seminary College is honored to welcome Dr. Martin Fashbaugh as the new new academic dean. “The seminary has seen much growth and forward movement in recent years, and with him as our new academic dean, we will continue to strengthen our intellectual formation for the Church’s future priests” said Very Rev. Victor Schinstock, OSB, president-rector of Conception Seminary College.

CONCEPTION, Mo. - The Office of the Registrar at Conception Seminary College, in Conception, Missouri, announced the students named to the Dean’s List for the 2021 spring semester.

Fr. John Rini passed away Friday evening after about six years of residence in our abbey infirmary. Fr. John was a Conception alumnus and priest of the Diocese of El Paso who served as a spiritual director at Conception Seminary College for about 10 years before retiring to the infirmary. We are very grateful not only for his work in the seminary but for the loving, thoughtful presence that he shared with us for many years.

The monastic and seminary communities will host his funeral with his family in the Abbey Basilica tomorrow, Tuesday, May 12, at 11:30 a.m. A visitation period will take place beforehand at 10 a.m. in the church.

May Fr. Rini rest in the peace of Christ.
