Seminarian David, from the Diocese of San Angelo, reflects on how the stages of formation at Conception Seminary College shape his path:

"God has called me to follow Him, and He has brought me here to Conception. Learning and growing here in seminary is an amazing gift from God and the ongoing acceptance of His will has brought great blessings. My time here in seminary has been an amazing journey to discover Jesus. I hope to continue growing in friendship with Christ and bring souls to him by saying yes to him every day!"

Partnering for Future Priests Day Of Giving is less than a month away. In a world filled with distractions, our goal is to form seminarians who, with the grace of the Holy Spirit, become priests who build hospitable parish communities that serve and support many people, and ultimately invite them into an ever-growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Conception Seminary College seeks to form Men of Communion for the future of the Catholic Church.

Welcome back, seminarians!

Today marks the beginning of a new year of formation and discernment at Conception Seminary College. This year, we welcome more than 70 seminarians from 14 dioceses, our highest enrollment in quite a few years!

We give thanks for each young man who has answered the call to explore where God may be leading him. Please join us in praying for our seminarians as they begin another year of prayer, study, fraternity and discernment. May God bless their time at Conception and guide them ever closer to His will.

What makes a good priest? According to Fr. Paul Clark, it begins with the same qualities that make a good monk, and ultimately, a good man of God.

Drawing on his experience as both a former seminarian and now a vocation director, Fr. Clark reflects on how the Benedictine tradition shapes men through a life of prayer, hospitality, and community. These foundational habits prepare men to live faithfully in whatever vocation God calls them to.
