Lets know what we vote about: For my California peeps, slavery is on the Ballot. I'm not joking. Proposition 6 endeavors to remove indentured servitude and slavery from our state constitution. The 13th Amendment removed servitude for non prisoners federally. But prisoners currently can face reprisals for refusal to work and are only paid from 8 to 37 cents an hour when they do work.

A Yes on Prop 6 removes Slavery from the state constitution so there is no punishment for refusing to be cheap labor. It will also allow time credit off sentences for those who work voluntarily and have good behavior. 34 states have time credit but not us. It's shameful we even have to consider removing indentured servitude from our laws. I know how I'm voting. How about you?
