Review from Sunday's Message:
This powerful teaching takes us deep into 1 Timothy 3, exploring what it truly means to serve in God's house with integrity and authenticity. We discover that biblical leadership isn't about hierarchy, titles, or political positioning—it's about reflecting the servant heart of Jesus Christ Himself. The message challenges us to examine whether we're living consistently across all areas of life: at church, at home, in business, and in our private moments. Are we the same person on Sunday morning as we are on Monday afternoon? The qualifications for deacons reveal something profound: God cares deeply about our character, our families, our reputations in the community, and whether we hold the mystery of faith with a pure conscience. This means keeping short accounts with God, yielding when the Holy Spirit convicts us, and not holding onto grudges, bitterness, or secret sins. We're reminded that the church is the pillar and ground of truth—not just another institution, but the living body of Christ called to stand firm on a solid foundation. The beautiful reality is that when we serve faithfully, we gain boldness in our faith and credibility in our witness. People listen to those whose lives back up their words. This teaching calls us to authentic Christianity where our walk matches our talk, where our homes reflect what we profess publicly, and where we're not double-tongued or hypocritical. It's a challenging but liberating call to genuine faith that transforms not just us, but everyone around us.

Join us Sunday at 10:30 am pt, as we worship, fellowship, and continue our walk through the pastoral epistles. This week we're focusing on 1st Timothy Chapter 4. Here, Paul addresses the very real (and presently ubiquitous) issue of apostasy: the fact that some "...will no longer endure sound doctrine... but they'll Heap to themselves teachers..." that will simply tell them a.) what they want to hear, b.) whatever is not convicting, or c.) whatever will allow them to be embraced by the world. Be then instructs Timothy about the responsibility to make sure that both he, those he's overseeing, preach the true word, practice the true word, then grow and progress in the true word.
