πŸ’ Thoughtful Tuesday

This week’s New Testament reading is Matthew 28:16–20, the familiar passage often called the Great Commission.

In these final words, Jesus sends His disciples into the world to make disciples of all nations. It is a passage full of both responsibility and reassurance. Christ gives His people a mission, but He does not send them alone. He closes with the promise that He will be with them always.

On Trinity Sunday, this scripture also beautifully portrays the fullness of God’s presence as Jesus speaks of baptizing in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. A reminder that our faith is based on our relationship with the living God and that our lives are meant to be used for His good purposes.

As you reflect today, consider:
❔ How is Christ calling me to live with greater purpose and faithfulness?
❔ Where do I need to remember that I do not go alone, but with the presence of God?

Friday Faith Focus πŸ•ŠοΈ

πŸ“– β€œO Lord, our Sovereign, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” β€” Psalm 8:1

Psalm 8 lifts our eyes to the heavens and reminds us of the wonder of creation and the greatness of the One who made it all. On Trinity Sunday, this passage is especially meaningful as we reflect on the fullness of God, and the beautiful mystery of a God who is both greater than we can comprehend and near enough to know us by name.

This scripture also reminds us that, though we are small in the vastness of creation, we are deeply loved and entrusted with purpose by our Creator.

β€Ό REMINDER β€Ό

The session has voted to change our worship time to 10:00 a.m. beginning NEXT Sunday, June 7th. This will allow folks more time on the Sabbath to take in other elements of Sabbath, such as rest, meditation, admiring Gods creation, fellowship with friends and family. We pray that this will offer a welcome alternative to the community at large.

We will also have a brief break from our Bible study for the summer months. We will reconvene our Bible study in mid to late August. This will give everyone time to enjoy their vacations, their gardens, their family, and the summer.

We pray that you will join us in celebrating and announcing to all your friends this change. We pray it will draw others to our congregation as we recognize all aspects of Sabbath, and give time for others to do the same. Our new worship time of 10:00 a.m. will start on Sunday, June 7th, 2026. Our fellowship time with coffee and snacks will be from 9:30-9:45 a.m. To God be the Glory as we continue to spread the Good News, reach out to those in need and make disciples of those we meet.

πŸ’ Thoughtful Tuesday

This week’s New Testament reading is Acts 2:1–21, the story of Pentecost.

In this passage, the Holy Spirit comes upon the disciples with wind and fire, transforming fear into courage and uncertainty into proclamation. What begins as a room full of waiting becomes a moment of mission, as people from many places hear the good news in their own languages. Pentecost reminds us that God’s Spirit breaks through barriers, unites people, and empowers ordinary believers to do extraordinary things in His name.

As you reflect today, consider:
❔ Where might the Holy Spirit be calling me to greater courage and faithfulness?
❔ How can I be more open to the movement of God in my life and in the life of the church?
