π Thoughtful Tuesday
This weekβs New Testament reading is Matthew 28:16β20, the familiar passage often called the Great Commission.
In these final words, Jesus sends His disciples into the world to make disciples of all nations. It is a passage full of both responsibility and reassurance. Christ gives His people a mission, but He does not send them alone. He closes with the promise that He will be with them always.
On Trinity Sunday, this scripture also beautifully portrays the fullness of Godβs presence as Jesus speaks of baptizing in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. A reminder that our faith is based on our relationship with the living God and that our lives are meant to be used for His good purposes.
As you reflect today, consider:
β How is Christ calling me to live with greater purpose and faithfulness?
β Where do I need to remember that I do not go alone, but with the presence of God?
