Isaias hasn't made landfall yet, but Southern Baptist Disaster Relief is already at work.

This week, Disaster Relief leaders from across the Southeast met to coordinate the response. In Alabama and Florida, feeding kitchens and equipment are prepped and ready to roll. Leaders there are working with state emergency management to plan where meals will be needed most. Teams from Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee are ready to come alongside them.

Feeding will be our first priority, especially in smaller, rural communities where help can be slow to arrive. Chainsaw, roof tarping, flood recovery and chaplain teams are getting ready too.

As soon as it's safe and needs are assessed, volunteers will move in. Until then, will you pray?

🙏 For families on the coast and inland as they prepare for surge, wind and flooding
🙏 For volunteers getting ready to serve
🙏 For local churches preparing to care for their neighbors
