I really love when our feast days pop up in the liturgical calendar. All of our other bags are Marian titles and events, which have specific dates on the calendar usually every year.

Today, I was very excited at Mass to hear the Wedding Feast of Cana gospel reading.

Occasionally, we will get asked a question on why we have a roast named “Cana” because all of our other coffees are Marian titles. But like you might’ve heard in your homily today, Mary is one of the most important characters in this story which starts His public ministry.

Her last recorded words for us are, “Do whatever he tells you” and in reflection I see it as a call to accept our Fiat like Mary did.

Although we aren’t a political account, our goal is to still promote the pro-life message and support pro-life action.

On January 22nd, it is National Sanctity of Life Day for the United States. And also, the USCCB has made it a Day of Prayer for the Unborn.

Fortunately, Roe v. Wade was finally overturned 39 years after this proclamation, but we will continue praying for the protection of life across the country.

On this Fourth Sunday of Advent, we light the final candle, symbolizing love. As Christmas draws near, we reflect on the boundless love of God, who sent His Son to dwell among us. In this season of waiting, may our hearts be filled with gratitude for the gift of Emmanuel—'God with us.' Let His love guide us to share kindness, hope, and compassion with all.

“The Benedictine monks arranged these antiphons with a definite purpose. If one starts with the last title and takes the first letter of each one—Emmanuel, Rex, Oriens, Clavis, Radix, Adonai, Sapientia—the Latin words ERO CRAS are formed, meaning, ‘Tomorrow, I will come.’ Therefore, Jesus, whose coming Christians have prepared for in Advent and whom they have addressed in these seven Messianic titles, now speaks to them: ‘Tomorrow, I will come.’”

The Golden Nights
In the Catholic Church, the evenings of December 17–23 are known as “The Golden Nights.” During the octave preceding Christmas, our faith offers a beautiful monastic tradition dating back to the early Church, where the seven “Great ‘O’ Antiphons” are chanted just before the Magnificat during Vespers of the Liturgy of the Hours.
One antiphon is appointed for each evening, in which the Messiah is called upon, and each ends with the petition, “Come!” The names for the Messiah are taken from the prophetic books of the Holy Bible. Over one thousand years after the creation of this tradition, the popular Advent hymn O Come, O Come, Emmanuel was written, inspired by the chant of these Great O Antiphons.
Recitation of the O Antiphons allows us to contemplate the names of the Messiah and brings us together in prayer and petition as the Advent season—a season of waiting and preparing for the coming of the Christ Child—comes to a joyful close.
This year is particularly special as we will be introducing this tradition to our family for the very first time. As we light the candles, read the antiphons, and sing the hymn together, we look forward to the curiosity and joy in their eyes as they experience the richness of this tradition for the first time.

Your prayer service can look however you’d like! Below are some suggestions for how our family plans to pray together this year.
When our family gathers together around our prayer table, we light all four candles on the Advent wreath. The real flame of a candle is significant here because Jesus is our Light, and we are reminded of His light through the flame. We recommend the father reads the antiphon for the day.

We will post the Antiphons and Hymns each day leading up to Christmas! Be sure to check back in!

On this Third Sunday of Advent, Gaudete Sunday, we light the candle of joy and are reminded to rejoice as we wait for the coming of Christ. Even in the midst of waiting, we find joy in the promises of God, knowing that His love and salvation are near. Let this season fill our hearts with hope, gratitude, and a deep sense of joy as we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Savior.

Today we honor St. Lucy, the 'Bearer of Light,' a courageous young woman who chose faith over fear and stood steadfast in her love for Christ. Even in the face of persecution, her unwavering light illuminated the path for others to follow. Her name, meaning 'light,' reminds us to let our faith shine brightly in a world that often feels dark. May St. Lucy inspire us to be bold in our witness to truth and to bring the light of Christ to those around us.
