Tribute to HG Caru Das

We were blessed with wonderful opportunity to get guidance from HG Caru Prabhu while we were preparing for our first Festival of Colors in Columbus in 2023. We had watched numerous videos of the Spanish Fork Festival of Colors and had also participated in a similar event in New Vrindavan, West Virginia.We were deeply inspired to organize one here in Columbus.

We reached out to Caru Prabhu. He talked with us and guided us step by step all the way. He inspired us, encouraged us, uplifted us when we were struck with anxiety and was a true mentor in every way. He was very happy that we were going to organize this mega event for the first time and flew down to be with us for the event. Talking to him and working with him face to face was a revelation. His charisma, his energy, his joyful personality inspired us tremendously. He personally did his Bhagavad Gita rap on stage.

After the event, he spent quality time with us, inspiring us with his never-give up attitude. He always had that jolly mood and a big smile, which makes any situation uplifting without any stress. On seeing our struggle for fundraising, he even donated his travel reimbursement to the temple. We were blessed with his association again last September ( 2025) in New Vrindavan. Little did we know that that would be our last encounter.

We are heartbroken to hear about his passing. We are sure he is with his beloved Srila Prabhupada engaged in loving service. We seek his blessings for our continued spiritual journey. We are very grateful to Sri Sri Radha Krishna for having given us the opportunity to have received the association of such a great devotee as His Grace Caru Prabhu. All glories to Caru Prabhu. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
