Special events this week include:
- A St. Matthias Parish celebration on Sunday, June 9 after the 11 am mass (at St. Matthias)
- ‘An Evening with Bakhita’ on Thursday, June 13 from 5-7 pm
- The establishment of the new parish mass on Saturday, June 15 at 4:30pm
- A new parish celebration on Sunday, June 16 after 11 am mass

In the spirit of St. Josephine Bakhita, our mission is to advance diverse expressions of the global Catholic Church among the People of God gathered in Northland.

Welcome Congolese Catholic Community!

The new St. Josephine Bakhita Parish and School is happy to initiate a new Ethnic Mass Community. Our Congolese Catholic Community will worship with the Kenyan and Tanzanian Catholic Communities the First Sunday of the month at 1:00 pm at St. Elizabeth Church (Parish Church). The mass will be in Swahili and starts July 7. We couldn't start, support, and sustain all our Ethnic Mass Communities without our new merged parish structure and the guidance of our Diversity Director and Diversity and Inclusion Working Group. Karibu.

God of majesty and glory, you bring us to the day that crowns our joyful Easter feast. Open for us the fountain of living waters promised to the faithful, that the outpouring of the Spirit may reveal Christ’s glory and enlighten all who wait in hope for the glorious day of redemption. Amen.

As a reminder, there will be no Saturday Vigil Mass at St. Matthias after June 8, 2024. After our January 2024 survey on mass times, 4:30 pm emerged as the best option.
