You are invited to "Boun Khow Phan sa" Please join us in celebrating the "Boun Khow Phan sa " this is the first day of the Buddhist lent. Sunday, August 2, 2026
10:00 a.m. Most Theravada Buddhist services are opportunities for the devout to make merit, often by listening to a sermon or by giving food to monks.
12:30 p.m. Offer money trees, Kong Boun, robes, receive sermon, blessing and holy water. All guests and members are invited to join temple luncheon and fellowship.
All benevolent individuals are cordially invited to participate in merit-making activities such as offering alms to monks, donating to the Sangha, receiving blessings, and listening to Dharma teachings for moral well-being and spiritual growth during the Buddhist Lent period. Sunday, August 2, 2026
10:00 AM: The ceremony begins with paying respects to the Buddha and receiving precepts / offering lunch to the monks.
12:30 PM: Offering of alms to monks / offering of the Kalpavriksha tree and various other offerings / listening to a sermon / receiving blessings and holy water. The religious ceremony concludes.
