Welcome to the Glenwood Campus of Beacon of Hope UMC.

Good Morning, today is the fifteenth Sunday after Pentecost. We continue to welcome the Holy Spirit and celebrate the God's Gift of the Holy Spirit and the Birth of Christ's Church!!!! Let us join the Romans, as they read Paul's words on how we should respond to others. Listen as Jesus continues His Sermon on the Mount and explains how we are to be the Light of the World. In our New Testament Lesson, we will be learning how to act toward others. In our Gospel Lesson, we will join the multitudes listening to the Sermon on the Mount and become the Light of the World. May we let our LIGHTS shine and GO LIGHT our World. Come, Holy Spirit set our hearts on FIRE and lead us where you WILL!!!! Our Liturgist is Belva Wagner. Welcome to the Glenwood Campus of Beacon of Hope UMC.

Good Morning, today is the twelfth Sunday after Pentecost. We continue to welcome the Holy Spirit and celebrate the God's Gift of the Holy Spirit and the Birth of Christ's Church!!!! Let us join Joseph and his brothers as they are reunited, in Egypt. Let us listen in as the Canaanite woman shows her immense faith. Let us emulate Joseph in forgiveness and acts of reconciliation. Let us demonstrate faith equal to the Canaanite woman. Let rejoice in our God and Savior!! In our Old Testament lesson, Joseph reveals himself to his brothers and their family is reunited. In our Gospel lesson, a Canaanite woman approaches Jesus and asks for her daughter's healing. As we carry the joy and Fire of the Holy Spirit with us, let us focus our hearts and minds on the Spirit's reconciling power that dwells within us. May we offer the hand of forgiveness and reconciliation to others, as we journey through our week. May we help others find the strength and faith to offer forgiveness and reconciliation in their lives. Come, Holy Spirit set our hearts on FIRE and lead us where you WILL!!!! Good Morning, today is the tenth Sunday after Pentecost. We continue to welcome the Holy Spirit and celebrate the God's Gift of the Holy Spirit and the Birth of Christ's Church!!!! Let us join David in prayer to Our God and exclaim that we can behold the face of God and His Righteousness. Listen as Jacob wrestles with God and gains a new name--Israel. In the Psalm, we will be praying with David and seeing God's face in Righteousness. In our Old Testament lesson, Jacob wrestles with God and becomes Israel. As we carry the joy and Fire of the Holy Spirit with us, let us focus our hearts and minds on the Spirit that dwells within us, as we go through our daily struggles. Welcome to the Glenwood Campus of Beacon of Hope UMC.

ood Morning, today is the eighth Sunday after Pentecost. We continue to welcome the Holy Spirit and celebrate the God's Gift of the Holy Spirit and the Birth of Christ's Church!!!! Listen as Paul explains that we are joint heirs with Jesus. Remember that we are wheat among the weeds in God's field. Be ready to be harvested and separated out. In our New Testament Lesson, we learn that we have been adopted as children of God and become joint heirs with Christ, as we invite the Spirit into our lives. In our Gospel lesson, Jesus tells the parable of the field sown with good seed, which was also sown with bad seed. As we carry the joy and Fire of the Holy Spirit with us, let us focus our hearts and minds on the Spirit that dwells within us. May we help others discover the good seed within themselves and rejoice in their adoption as a child of God. Come, Holy Spirit set our hearts on FIRE and lead us where you WILL!!!! Welcome to the Glenwood Campus of Beacon of Hope UMC.

Good Morning, today is the seventh Sunday after Pentecost. We continue to welcome the Holy Spirit and celebrate the God's Gift of the Holy Spirit and the Birth of Christ's Church!!!! Let us listen to the story of the farmer planting seeds. Let us rejoice with the Apostle Paul that we are free from condemnation. In our New Testament Lesson Paul asks us to set our minds on the things of the Spirit, rather than on the things of the flesh. In our Gospel lesson Jesus describes how the Gospel is spread and received. Let us listen, as Jesus tells of the sower and his seeds. As we carry the joy and Fire of the Holy Spirit with us, let us focus our hearts and minds on the Law of the Spirit and do some weeding and fertilizing of the soil of our hearts, so we may "Good Soil" for the Gospel. May we help others find the Good Soil within themselves and Set their minds on Law of the Spirit of Love. Come, Holy Spirit set our hearts on FIRE and lead us where you WILL!!!! Welcome to the Glenwood Campus of Beacon of Hope UMC.

Good Morning, today is the sixth Sunday after Pentecost. We continue to welcome the Holy Spirit and celebrate the God's Gift of the Holy Spirit and the Birth of Christ's Church!!!! Let us listen and follow Jesus, as He offers rest for our weary souls. Let us join the Apostle Paul and delight in the Law of our God. In our New Testament Lesson Paul describes our struggles with our desire to live righteously and our actions. In our Gospel lesson Jesus reminds us that we can not know the Father outside of Himself and offers us rest from our cares and burdens, as we follow Him. As we carry the joy and Fire of the Holy Spirit with us, let us lay our burdens as Jesus feet and take up His yoke and find rest for our weary souls. Remember to help others carry their burdens and lead them to one who can bring rest to their weary souls. Come, Holy Spirit set our hearts on FIRE and lead us where you WILL!!!!
