Welcome to the Glenwood Campus of Beacon of Hope UMC.

Good Morning, today is the fourth Sunday after Pentecost. We continue to welcome the Holy Spirit and celebrate the God's Gift of the Holy Spirit and the Birth of Christ's Church!!!! Let us join the Psalmist as praise the Lord, who listens and protects. He is Worthy and Mighty above all others. Let us listen as Jesus whispers secrets in our ears to shout from the roof tops. Our Old Testament Lesson is from the Psalms, the Psalmist reminds us that God is mightier and more wonderful than any other "god" and that He listens and protects us. In our Gospel lesson Jesus instructs us to reveal all we hear in secret and to shout His whispers from the mountain tops. Jesus reminds us that all will be revealed to us. As Paul states, in I Corinthians, "that now we see dimly, as through a mirror," but we shall see all eventually. May we continue to listen as Jesus whispers truth to us and reveal those truths with shouts from the mountain and roof tops. As we carry the joy and Fire of the Holy Spirit with us shout God's truths, let us follow God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit where they lead. Listen for Jesus' whispers and reveal them to those you meet! Come, Holy Spirit set our hearts on FIRE and lead us where you WILL!!!! Our Liturgist is Carl Powell. Welcome to the Glenwood Campus of Beacon of Hope UMC.

Good Morning, today is the third Sunday after Pentecost. We continue to welcome the Holy Spirit and celebrate the God's Gift of the Holy Spirit and the Birth of Christ's Church!!!! Let us join Abraham and Sarah, as the show hospitality to God , and the Disciples, as they prepare for the "Harvest." Our Old Testament Lesson recounts God's visit to Abraham's tent, and God's announcement of the coming of Isaac. Our Gospel lesson recounts Jesus' sending His Disciples in pairs to "harvest" souls, by preaching., teaching and healing. God asks that we continue to harvest. as Jesus said, "The harvest is plenty, but the workers are few." As we carry the joy and Fire of the Holy Spirit with us as we work to harvest His field,. let us follow God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit where they lead. Look for those God sends your way to assist Him in His Harvest. Come, Holy Spirit set our hearts on FIRE and lead us where you WILL!!!! Our Liturgist is De Jaye Wagner. Good Morning, today is the second Sunday after Pentecost. We continue to welcome the Holy Spirit and celebrate the God's Gift of the Holy Spirit and the Birth of Christ's Church!!!! Let us join Abram and Sarai, along with Matthew, as the heed God's call to follow. Our Old Testament Lesson is Abram's call to leave his home and native land and follow God's command to stop where He leads. In his obedience, Abram is shown the land his children will once inhabit. Our Gospel lesson recounts Jesus' call to Matthew the Tax Collector to drop everything and follow Him. We are called to carry the joy and Fire of the Holy Spirit with us as we follow God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit where they lead. Listen for your call from God and follow as He bids. Welcome to the Glenwood Campus of Beacon of Hope UMC.

Welcome Holy Spirit!!! Today is Pentecost Sunday. Today, we celebrate the Gift of the Holy Spirit and the Birth of Christ's Church!!!! Let us join the disciples in the Upper Room, as they receive the Comforter Jesus promised and Power from the Holy Spirit!!! Listen as the wind blows and the Holy Spirit descends as a Fire into the room and lands on each disciple and gives them knowledge, power and the ability to speak to anyone! Our Gospel lesson reminds us that when Jesus enters a room, there is peace! May we continually invite Him and His Peace into our lives. Our New Testament Lesson recounts the story of the disciples receiving the Holy Spirit through a mighty wind and flaming tongues to speak the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all who are present! This is the Birth of Christ's Church. Today is also the Birth of Methodism, as John Wesley attended a revival at Aldersgate and was touched by the Spirit. His heart was "strangely warmed" by the Spirit of God. Remember to carry the joy and Fire of the Holy Spirit with you, as you go about your week, embrace and celebrate the Birth of THE CHURCH!!!! Good Morning!!! We are glad you are here!!!!

Welcome to the Glenwood Campus of Beacon of Hope UMC.

Happy Easter!!! Happy Ascension Day! Today is is the 7th Sunday of Easter. We continue our celebration of the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, while we anticipate the Birth of His Church and Pentecost!!!! Let us join the disciples, as Jesus blesses them, gives them wisdom to "preach the Gospel," and tells them to wait for the Holy Spirit to come. During this time with his disciples, Jesus ascends up into Heaven. Listen as He declares, "I must ascend so that the Holy Spirit may come!!!." Our Old Testament lesson reminds us that we should look up, so that the King of Glory may enter and we may be lifted up. Let us remember that we need to look up to God and be lifted up by Him! May we continually be lifted by His strength and love. Our Gospel Lesson is Jesus' final act, while on earth following his resurrection. He tells us to remain and wait for the Holy Spirit and reminds us that he must return to the Father, so that the Holy Spirit can come. Let us follow the disciples' lead and wait for the Holy Spirit to come and fill us, again!!! Remember, we continue to celebrate the fact that Death could not hold Him, HE IS ALIVE!!! Remember to carry the joy of the Resurrection with you, as you go about your week, embrace and celebrate His Ascension and wait for the Holy Spirit to fill ALL!! HE IS RISEN INDEED!!! Happy Easter!!! Today is is the 5th Sunday of Easter. We continue our celebration of the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, while we anticipate the Birth of His Church and Pentecost!!!! Let us join the disciples in the Upper Room, as they share Passover with Jesus and He prays for them and us!!! Listen as He declares, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life." Our Old Testament lesson reminds us that God is our refuge and our strong fortress. May we continually find shelter within his arms. He is our protector. Our Gospel Lesson reminds us that Jesus is preparing our Heavenly home and that He is the path we must take to live within its walls. Rediscover the saving power of the Messiah, as He proclaims that He is the only Way, the only Truth, and the only Life. Let us follow Him where He leads and be ready for the place He has prepared for us! Remember, we continue to celebrate the fact that Death could not hold Him, HE IS ALIVE!!! Remember to carry the joy of the Resurrection with you, as you go about your week, embrace and celebrate following the Resurrection and the Life!!! HE IS RISEN INDEED!!!
