The Church Next Door

The Church Next Door Moving People Closer to God The Church Next Door was started in 1955 by a small group of people with a common vision to start a church for young families.
(256)

Over the years, the church has grown and reached many across central Ohio. Throughout the years we have remained committed to a desire to experience God more fully in our lives, the belief that a relationship with Jesus Christ is transforming, a commitment to children and young people, and a desire to be a valuable participant in our community.

There’s more happening around us than what we can see. 👀✨

God has a purpose for your life, and there is a very real spiritual world at work. That’s why we must stay spiritually aware—grounded in God’s Word, sensitive to the Holy Spirit, and discerning of what’s happening around us. 🙏📖

Not everything is just physical. Stay alert. Stay prayerful. Stay close to Jesus. 🔥

Jesus reminds us that faith isn’t something we borrow or treat casually. We’re called to own it. God provides the strength, wisdom, and direction—but we must choose to live it out daily. 🙏

Luke 12 challenges us to watch out for hypocrisy, not be consumed by wealth or worry, and stay ready instead of waiting passively. Every day is God’s day—live it for Him. ✨

Something changed in John the Apostle when he followed Jesus. ✨

He discovered who Jesus truly was—not just a man, but the Messiah. And through that relationship came confidence, truth, and the deep assurance of being loved by Him. ❤️

That same invitation is for us today: stay close to Jesus and let His love shape who you become. 🙏

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice is a reminder of the cost of freedom and the courage of those willing to lay down their lives for others.

As we gather with family and friends, may we also take a moment to thank God for the freedoms we enjoy and pray for the families of those who served.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

From all of us at The Church Next Door, we pray you have a meaningful and blessed Memorial Day.

What a meaningful weekend together as we reflected on the message, “Don’t Be Easily Offended.”

In a world where frustration and division can so easily take hold, we were reminded that God calls us to something higher—to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry. Through worship, prayer, and the Word, we were challenged to guard our hearts from offense and respond with grace, humility, and truth.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this weekend. We’re grateful for a church family that continues to pursue love, unity, and the heart of Jesus together. Let’s carry these truths into our homes, workplaces, conversations, and community this week.

“Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.” — James 1:19

Sometimes the best thing we can do is simply say yes. Jesus invites ordinary people—like Peter using his boat—to be part of something bigger.

Even when we feel tired or unsure, God can use what we already have. It starts with willingness. 🙌

Luke 5 reminds us to serve, help others, and make room for people to encounter Jesus. You might be the one who brings someone closer to Him.

God knows you. ✨

He knows your purpose, your season, and exactly why you’re here right now. 🙏

Even when the world feels uncertain, remember this: God designed you with intention and love. He formed you in your mother’s womb—and He has not forgotten you. ❤️

At our More Than A Queen Esther Women’s Conference, we saw women worship freely, pray boldly, laugh together, and leave encouraged in their faith. From the worship moments to the breakout sessions, every conversation pointed back to this truth: God still calls ordinary people to live with courage, purpose, and faith.

We’re thankful for every speaker, volunteer, guest, and woman who walked through the doors and made this event so special. The room was filled with strength, honesty, healing, and joy.

This wasn’t just an event — it was a reminder that you are called, chosen, and deeply loved by God. 👑✨
