The Church Next Door Moving People Closer to God The Church Next Door was started in 1955 by a small group of people with a common vision to start a church for young families.
(256)

Over the years, the church has grown and reached many across central Ohio. Throughout the years we have remained committed to a desire to experience God more fully in our lives, the belief that a relationship with Jesus Christ is transforming, a commitment to children and young people, and a desire to be a valuable participant in our community.

This weekend, The Church Next Door will join churches and synagogues around the world in a moment of remembrance for the lives lost in the October 7, 2023 attacks in Israel.

As part of Flags of Fellowship, Israeli flags will be displayed as we pause to remember the approximately 1,200 people who were killed and the families and communities forever impacted by that day.

More than a display, we want this to be a moment of prayer. We invite you to join us as we remember those who were lost, pray for those who continue to grieve, and ask God to bring comfort, healing, and peace to a region deeply affected by violence and loss.

Join us Sunday October 4th for this special time.

We look forward to worshiping and praying together.

Sometimes the best way to move forward… is to slow down.

This weekend, we continue our Moving Forward series with Pastor Jennifer bringing a message about what it means to slow down to speed up—creating space to hear from God, trust His timing, and prepare for what He has ahead.

We’d love for you to join us! Invite someone and come worship with us this weekend at The Church Next Door.

This weekend, we’re MOVING FORWARD.

There are moments when God calls us to stop looking behind us and start pressing toward what He has ahead. Philippians 3:13–14 reminds us to forget what is behind, reach toward what is ahead, and press on toward the goal of our calling in Christ.

God isn’t finished with us. He is still working, still growing us, and still leading us forward.

Join us this weekend at The Church Next Door as we begin our new series, Moving Forward, and discover what it looks like to trust God with what’s behind us while boldly pursuing what He has next.

There are moments in the life of a church when the most important thing we can do is simply come together and pray. ❤️

Join us for Prayer Night as we gather as one church family to seek God, worship together, and pray with Pastors Doyle and Jennifer, our leadership, our church family, and the journey ahead.

In every season, we believe God is faithful—and we want prayer to be at the center of everything we do.

Sometimes all it takes is one word to bring a song to mind. 🙌🎶

We gave our worship team a word and challenged them to respond with a worship song—and they definitely delivered!

But worship is even better when we’re together. ❤️ Join us at The Church Next Door this weekend as we lift our voices, worship Jesus, and experience what God is doing in our church family.

This past weekend was a significant moment in the life of The Church Next Door.

After 28 years of faithful ministry, Pastors Doyle and Jennifer Jackson shared that they will be stepping into a new season. While this news brings many emotions, our hearts are filled with overwhelming gratitude for the incredible legacy they have built through their faithful leadership, steadfast love, and unwavering commitment to pointing people to Jesus.

For nearly three decades, they have helped shape the story of our church, our community, and countless lives. We are thankful for every prayer prayed, every message preached, every life changed, and every person who has been moved closer to God because of their ministry.

Over the coming weeks, we'll have opportunities to celebrate Pastors Doyle and Jennifer, reflect on all God has done, and walk together through this season with faith, unity, and hope.

Please continue to pray for Pastor Doyle and Jennifer, our Session, our staff, and our entire church family. We are confident that the God who has faithfully led us for the past 70 years will continue to guide The Church Next Door into the future He has prepared.

There are few moments more beautiful than watching someone publicly declare their faith in Jesus.

This past Sunday, we had the incredible privilege of celebrating as two young men took the next step in their faith journey through baptism. What a powerful reminder that God is still changing lives, drawing hearts to Him, and writing stories of hope and redemption.

Church family, thank you for celebrating alongside them and continuing to be a place where people of every age can encounter Jesus and grow in their faith.

Let's continue praying for these two young men as they begin this new chapter, and let's never lose sight of the joy that comes when someone says "yes" to following Christ.

💙 Join us in congratulating them in the comments!

Something major is happening this Sunday - help us fill the room!

As we continue our Summer Shift series, this weekend marks an important moment in our journey together as a church family. We hope you'll make plans to join us in person as we worship, seek God together, and share in a meaningful Sunday.

Please note that there will be no livestream this weekend, so we encourage everyone who is able to be with us in person.

We're looking forward to seeing our church family together this Sunday. ❤️
