So rather than asking that oh, so tempting question: Why is this happening to me and my families. Try asking these questions instead. God, what do you want us to learn from this situation? God, how do you want us to pray about this situation? God teach us how to yield control to you. God teach us how to be prepared at all times and in every situation. God help us to be still and know that you are God in all situations.

Nothing we do can separate us from Him but the same is not true of us. We tend to hang on to our sins, which lead us away from the Lord. Jesus has cleansed us from all sin-past, present and future. Our thoughts should not be on our sins as much as on our Savior. We need to be thanking Him for how good God is that He made a way for us to be with Him forever. Help us Lord to find the way, truth and life. (John 14:6)
