GOD NEVER GIVES UP ON US.

He will gently and quietly pursue us until our last breath. He will woo us unto Himself like a bridegroom wooing His beloved bride. He speaks to us in a small voice, whispering to our hearts, asking to be let in, calling to us with sweet words and promises, drawing us closer … because He loves us and He is willing that none should perish but rather have everlasting life. Amen.

The closer you get to Christ, the more sinful you’re going to feel. Did you realize that? Every one who has seen a true reflection of God is deeply convicted of his own sin. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope.” -Jeremiah 29:11 Berean Bible

As Christians, we all make plans daily to do things in the near and distant future. At times, we do this without thinking or giving the process much thought.

We sometimes take for granted that we will live the length of time required to fulfill our plans, even if it’s just minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, even years. Sometimes, we don’t consult with God first to determine if what we are planning is in his will.

When our plans go awry, perhaps utterly fail, we may believe that we have utterly failed God and deserve the punishment of the failure.

But God in his infinite love and grace “has plans” that never fail. So why should you despair? Is He not the God of all things? Re-read God’s word above. Take it and hide it in your heart and meditate on it. It’s a wonderful promise to the Saints and His children.

So Dear Saint … meditate also on this:

Exactly!! Jesus gave his followers … his disciples a commission and we are to fulfill it before His return. While fulfilling that commission, we are to serve, not just one another in the church but serve in our communities and where ever we go. God’s word must be proclaimed and not hidden within us.

Being a survivor is really great!! Being victorious is magnificently glorious. Jesus said so. Show me your Captain and I will show you who can really win the battles, not just survive them. Choose wisely. Amen.
