Walnut Hill United Methodist Church Also, Facebook live at "Jeff Julien" at 1035am. Hence it is that one part of the world does not know what the other suffers.

Walnut Hill, a United Methodist community growing in love and humility while reaching out to welcome all people through various missions and ministries. We have drive in worship at 1030am. “One great reason why the rich in general have so little sympathy for the poor is because they so seldom visit them. Many of them do not know, because they do not care to know: they keep out of the way of knowing

it – and then plead their voluntary ignorance as an excuse for their hardness of heart.”

“We have not gathered simply to remember the fire. We have gathered to receive it. And when we receive the fire, we cannot remain where we are.”

Call to Worship Psalm 138 (UMHpp.853-854)
I give you thanks, O LORD, with my whole heart; before the gods I sing your praise;
I bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted your name and your word above everything.
On the day I called, you answered me; you strengthened my life
All the rulers of the earth shall praise you, O LORD, for they have heard the words of your mouth.
And they shall sing of the ways of the LORD, for great is the glory of the LORD.
For the LORD is high, but regards the lowly, yet knows the haughty from afar.
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me.
O LORD fulfill your purpose for me; O Lord, may your steadfast love endure forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.

Dear Beloved People of the Ohio Episcopal Area,

Severe flooding across Central Ohio has caused widespread damage and disruption, displacing families and threatening homes and livelihoods. Our hearts are with all who have been affected.

I invite every congregation across East and West Ohio to respond with prayer and compassionate action. Please pray for those in danger, for first responders, and for all providing shelter, food, medical care, and essential assistance.

The work of recovery will require sustained cooperation. I encourage our churches to care for their neighbors, remain connected with district and conference leaders, and participate in coordinated relief efforts as opportunities arise.

No congregation or community should face this crisis alone. Through our prayers, generosity, service, and faithful partnership, may we embody Christ’s healing presence.

God of mercy and refuge, protect those in danger, comfort those who have suffered loss, and strengthen all who serve. Gather us as one body so that, through our loving action, hope may rise and communities may be restored. In Jesus Christ’s name.

Amen.

In Christ’s compassion and hope,

Bishop Hee-Soo Jung
