Local leaders from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints visited Neighborhood Services Food Pantry. NSI is one of the 2027 Giving Machine charities. They serve individuals in Franklin county that are experiencing food insecurity.

It was a beautiful morning on August 3rd as a food truck from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints arrived at Canal Wi******er Human Services.

The delivery included 12 pallets—approximately 13,000 pounds—of shelf-stable food to help stock the Community Food Pantry. The pantry serves individuals and families living in the Canal Wi******er and Bloom-Carroll school districts, and Lithopolis, providing vital support to neighbors throughout the community.

We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with organizations like Canal Wi******er Human Services as they provide life-changing support and strengthen the communities they serve.

On July 31, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints joined friends from JewishColumbus to welcome the 2026 Israeli Pelotonia Delegation to Columbus.

On October 7, 2023, while cycling through southern Israel, members of the delegation found themselves in the midst of Hamas's attack. In the two years since, they have helped lead their communities through evacuation, recovery, and rebuilding.

Their stories of survival, courage, and hope were deeply moving. It was an honor to hear firsthand how resilience, healing, and friendship can triumph even in the face of unimaginable adversity.

We are grateful for the opportunity to stand together, strengthen our bonds, and celebrate the enduring power of community.

"AI can further, not replace, human relationships", Elder Gong teaches in new video.

In a new video from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Elder Geritt W. Gong of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles explores “how to hear God’s voice clearly in an age of artificial intelligence (AI), and why that distinction matters more now than ever.”

“Can artificial intelligence replace God?” Elder Gong asks in the hour-long, gospel workshop video now available on YouTube. “That question may sound provocative, but in an age when we turn to algorithms for answers, guidance and even comfort, it matters deeply.”

We are excited to announce the details for the Columbus Area Tabernacle Choir Watch Party event on June 27, 2026! This event will be broadcast from the Hollywood Bowl and will feature guests including Donny Osmand, David Foster, Katherine McPhee, and others. It will celebrate the Choir's 100th anniversary.
This wonderful event will take place from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. on June 27, 2026, at the McCoy Center Auditorium, located at 100 E. Dublin Granville Road, in New Albany.
Please join us for a pre-broadcast social from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm. Enjoy free ice-cream provided by the Little Ladies Ice Cream Truck and lawn games for all ages. Additionally, all are invited to participate in an easy service project benefiting veterans and children in Columbus.

Doors will open for the broadcast concert at 6:30 p.m. with the concert beginning at 7:00 p.m.

We are excited to share that Huckleberry House will one of the charities supported by The Giving Machine Initiative during the 2026 holiday season in Columbus! They have their largest fundraising event coming up at the end of May!

Huckleberry House, is a nonprofit service located in central Ohio that has been serving youth in crisis since 1970. The organization provides emergency shelter, transitional housing, counseling, and outreach services for youth, ages 12-24, experiencing homelessness, family conflict, poverty, or violence.

Registration is OPEN!

On Friday, May 29, our community will come together for one night to raise awareness and support young people facing homelessness.

Because of you, young people have a safe place to turn.

We are deeply saddened at the sudden passing of Elder W. Mark Bassett, a General Authority Seventy who had been serving since April of 2016. Elder Bassett passed away on May 11, 2026, as a result of a traumatic brain injury. He was with his family in St. George, Utah, when the incident occurred.

At the time of his death, Elder Bassett was serving as the Executive Director of the Missionary Department, overseeing worldwide missionary efforts. His service in this calling coincided with a period of historic growth in missionary efforts around the world and unprecedented levels of missionaries deciding to serve. Elder Bassett will be deeply missed and always remembered for his great faith and dedicated service to the Lord Jesus Christ.

During a devotional for missionaries held at the Missionary Training Center (MTC) in Provo, Utah, just days before his passing, Elder Bassett bore testimony and challenged missionaries to “Invite everyone to come—and do everything you can to help them enter this beautiful gate, which leads to eternal life." His devotion in life reflected these teachings and leaves a loving legacy for all.

Our love and prayers are with his dear wife Angela, his children, and his grandchildren during this difficult time.
