A grammata given to our parish on the occasion of our patronal feast last year by our Archbishop Irineos! In Greek, grammata literally means “letters,” parallel to the English “letter of commendation,” and used as a singular noun in Russian and English, it usually takes the form of a certificate of commendation. It is presented by a bishop or a synod as a citation and award to an individual, group, or parish.
