This past Sunday our Hebrew School students went to Lynd Fruit Farm for our annual apple picking event that takes every year before Rosh Hashanah. We had a great group of kids and parents who came out to pick apples!

Each student went home with bags of apples and honey that our Education Director, Andrea Rubinstein, provided for everyone. 🍎🍯

This past Sunday, we gathered for our annual immersion service and community picnic! ☀️🧺

We had the joy of celebrating as five people were immersed - taking a powerful, public step of spiritual cleansing, identification, and commitment to Messiah Yeshua and the community of Messiah followers.

It is always so encouraging to see how God is working in the lives of His people!

In our Torah portion for this week, Moses gives a series of exhortations to the people to obey the voice of the Lord. In chapters 4 and 5 he recounts the historical event that took place at Mt. Sinai, forty years earlier, when God revealed himself to the people and gave them the Torah.

Every year when we come to the beginning of Deuteronomy, we are also close to a Jewish observance called Tisha B'Av (the 9th of Av). This year, Tisha B'Av begins at sundown on July 22nd and continues through Thursday the 23rd.
